The Lonely Spirit [5]

Lucifer's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at his sister's sudden question, but he composed himself and answered her.

Lucifer

No, it's not possible for a normal human to touch a spirit. But humans with some supernatural or special powers can touch a spirit.

He explained as she listened to it intently and absorbed the fact.

Brother I need to tell you something.

She said as she thought about the fact that he told her now.

Lucifer

What is it sister? You know, you can share anything with me.

He said in a gentle tone as he wanted her to tell everything that was bothering her and why she suddenly asked such a question.

The actual owner of this house came here this afternoon to live here for a few months.

As I don't like any company and especially human company, so I decided to scare him and make him run away from the house.

He was so stubborn and didn't want to leave so to scare him more I decided to choke him. But when I transformed into my translucent form he suddenly grabbed my wrist to release himself from my grip.

Lucifer was listening to everything peacefully, but his eyes widened in shock when he heard that a human could touch her.

Lucifer

Sister did you make sure that he was not a witch or anything like that?

I couldn't feel any hint of maliciousness radiating from him. He felt like an ordinary human.

Upon hearing the weird incident Lucifer was worried about his sister's safety. Also, as the human seemed like a stubborn person to him, they could do nothing more than scare him until he decides to leave the house.

Though Lucifer and YN were the most powerful spirits there were some rules and regulations among the spirits. If they broke any rules then they would get punished.

YN was one of the most disciplined spirit among them, and she was the one who made the laws with Lucifer's and some other spirit's help.

Lucifer

Then I guess we have to wait and watch for hints which leads to solving this mysterious incident.

So should I let him stay in the house?

Lucifer

We seem to have no other options except for keeping a watchful eye on him, dear sister.

There was silence for a few seconds before he said again.

Lucifer

But sister be careful. Your safety matters the most to me. If you face any problem or danger don't hesitate to contact me. I will come to your aid.

He said with a gentle warm smile which would have warmed up YN's heart also if she had any. But she could feel the warmth of his smile and tone.

I will keep that in mind brother. Thank you for staying beside me always.

She said as she reciprocated his gentle and warm voice and smiled.
