You Changed Me

You Changed Me

Waking Up

6/27/16

I opened my eyes annoyed, then grabbed my phone angrily. I was about to ask who it was, but then Kelseys’ yelling cut me off.

“Carlos! Get the hell up! You were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago, we’re going to be late to the bonfire!!” she said anxiously.

I yawned, “Where am I supposed to be?”

“The Arcade idiot. If you don’t get here soon, Jenny will make me work, hurry your *** up!”

“Shit, well I’ll be there in about five mintues Kelse.”

I jumped out of bed and grabbed the clothes I shoved under my bed earlier. Kelsey came over last night, and I didn’t really want to clean, so I hid them there.

I sniffed the white shirt in my hand making sure it was clean, then changed into it along with my swim trunks.

I unplugged my phone and walked into the living room looking for my sneakers.

I glanced at the clock and noticed it had already been five minutes.

Shit…

I slide on my sandals by the door in a hurry and grabbed my keys running to the elevator.

Once the door shut I looked at my reflection through the metal walls, patting my bed hair down so I didn’t look like a crackhead.

I tugged my shirt down right before the elevator opened to the main floor.

“How has everything been doing?” I asked my favorite employee while leaning on his desk.

“Pretty good, we’re fully booked until next month,” he responded glancing through the list of rooms.

“Maybe we should add onto the hotel Jorge, not just rooms, but another pool?”

I had already expanded this hotel before, I added on a hangout den and a bar. Ever since then my business has been doing good. It was about time we used the rest of our land.

“We are already a four-star hotel, doing this would make us at the top of the list,” Jorge agreed, “Maybe we’ll get more chicas eh?”

I smirked, “Yeah, maybe. Well I got to go, see you later tonight.”

I turned back to the door and started walking towards the exit.

Love wasn’t really my thing, I don’t know how it feels to be loved, nor do I know how to love someone. But it doesn’t really matter since there isn’t many girls here my type in Hawaii.

A girl starts walking backwards but then bumps into me and steps forward awkwardly.

I watched her as she crossed her arms with confidence hiding her embarrassment.

“Stop looking at me, you pervert, I know how you guys think nowadays. Don’t even try me,” she waved her finger in the air disapproving me.

I chuckled, “I’m no pervert, you’re just a very beautiful woman.”

She stops shaking her finger as her cheeks turn a light tint of pink.

The woman was really attractive. Her complexion was clear, the only thing you noticed on her face that wasn’t doll-like, was a mole above her lip. She wore a yellow shirt that held her chest tightly, but she also wore jeans showing she still held some dignity.

“Move stupid man, I need to check in, I have somewhere to be.”

“Same,” I said walking around her to the main doors, “See you later!”

I inhaled a gust of fresh air when the wind blew, messing up my hair right after I fixed it.

Damn…

I checked my phone before jogging to the Arcade a few blocks away from my hotel. I had to hurry before Kelseys’ boss puts her to work and didn’t let us go to the beach.
