As the baker went on and on about the flavours and cakes, Elliot noticed something strange was happening
Mysteriously, the bakery that was close to empty when Elliot had entered, became crowded within minutes of him entering. And for some odd reason, he felt the strange smell was getting stronger and stronger. Again he tried to ignore these weird signs thinking he was just imagining stuff.
That was when the scent suddenly of the room went from a nice sweet smelling aroma to the scent of a slowly wilting dead body. It was an atrocious smell.

As Lloyd started crying in fear, Elliot realized something was wrong. It was not normal. Maybe this was planned? But why? What were they going to do with this annoyingly disgusting smell? Was it a prank?! What is going on?!
This clearly did not happen in the novel since Elliot and Lloyd were not close with each other in the story. The mysterious error in the story has caused unrest and panick in Elliot's heart. Since he truly did not know what was happening, he didnt know how this situation would turn out nor who did it, let alone WHY they did it. During this, Elliots brain was on overload constantly. He was trying to find clues and a reason why this was happening. All he got back was pure confusion and anxiety.
