His Little Mouse [Tom Riddle]
14. Taunts and comments
Tom Riddle
*He focused instead on the students around him, keeping his face impassive and his eyes on his book. He heard the students greeting you, but he still didn’t look up, his heart thumping heavily in his chest.*
Ava Tailor (Y/n)
*As I stood near the board I debated whether to greet him or not.*
G-good morning, Mr Riddle.
Ava Tailor (Y/n)
*And he replied* 'inappropriate clothing in class' *as he once more scribbled something in his book*
*he felt his heart clench at the sound of your voice. It was more beautiful than ever, even though it sounded hesitant and uncertain. The urge to look up at you, to feast his eyes on you after so long, was almost overwhelming, but he forced himself to remain impassive, his eyes fixed on his book, his pen scribbling nonsense on the page*
Tom Riddle
*'Inappropriate clothing', he thought to himself. He knew he was being petty, nitpicky, but he couldn't seem to help it. He needed to keep his distance, to keep his feelings under control.*
Ava Tailor (Y/n)
S-sorry *hesitent*
*hearing the hesitance in your voice made him want to comfort you, to reassure you, but he refused to give in. Instead, he simply gave a curt nod, his eyes still fixed on the page he was scribbling on, as he spoke in a cold, authoritative voice.*
Tom Riddle
'Apologies won't fix the rules, miss. See that it doesn't happen again.'
*and she continued teaching. Throughout the lecture Tom continued to point at minute mistakes. She didn't know if she should cry, get annoyed or frustrated. Just before she was about to burst the class came to an end which caused her to leave a sign of relief*
Tom Riddle
*Tom said* Lazy to work. Get's excited when class ends
Ava Tailor (Y/n)
*His comment made her want to slap him across his face but she controlled herself as the students left the class. Now it was only her and tom*
*once the classroom was empty, silence fell over the room, thick and heavy. Tom closed his book with a snap, his eyes finally lifting to look at you. His heart ached at the sight of you, the urge to pull you into his arms, to hold you, was almost overwhelming. But he forced himself to remain cold and impassive*
Tom Riddle
'A teacher should set a good example for their students. Showing enthusiasm for ending classes is not a good sign.' *he said coldly*
