*blinked*
His smile dropped, and for a second, it felt as if the air had been knocked out of his lungs

*barely above a whisper* What…?
Taehyung bit his lip, guilt creeping into his expression as he reached for Choi’s hand, but Choi subtly pulled away, his fingers curling into his palm.
V(DO)
*gently, voice laced with sincerity* I know I should have told you earlier, and I’m really sorry for keeping it from you. Please don’t be upset. We just… we wanted to take our time, to understand our feelings before sharing it with everyone. And you mean so much to me—I didn’t want to hide this from you any longer
Choi swallowed, his throat suddenly dry.
Choi Woo shik (DA)
*quietly, staring at the table* …Since when?
V(DO)
*soft smile, eyes hopeful* It’s been a year now
Choi felt something in his chest tighten💔
He forced a small smile, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes
Taehyung’s brows furrowed as he watched Choi sit frozen, staring blankly at the table. His usual cheerful expression was nowhere to be seen

*softly, concerned* woo…?
V(DO)
*a little louder, reaching for his hand* woo?
Choi finally blinked, snapping out of his daze. His lips curled into a small, forced smile as he met Taehyung’s gaze
V(DO)
*worried* Are you okay?😟
Choi inhaled deeply, his fists clenching under the table before he forced a laugh, his voice unnaturally light
Choi Woo shik (DA)
*smiling, but his eyes unreadable* Yeah, I’m fine. I’m really happy for you
There was a slight pause before he added—
Taehyung searched his face, sensing something off. His smile didn’t reach his eyes, and his voice lacked warmth

*hesitant* Are you… not angry?
Choi Woo shik (DA)
*shaking his head, laughing softly* No. Why would I be angry at my best friend? 🙂
Taehyung let out a small sigh of relief, a bright smile spreading across his face
V(DO)
*gratefully, beaming* Thank you so much, woo😊
Choi smiled back. But this time, there was something unsettling in the way his lips curved up
