Antic's Love Story

Antic's Love Story

Chapter 1: The Crush

Tina sat on her bed, the soft glow of her phone illuminating her face as she scrolled through her social media feed. Her heart skipped a beat every time she saw a post from Ryan, her senior crush. For the past two to three years, Tina had been infatuated with Ryan. They had chatted on and off on various social media platforms, but she was always too shy to talk to him in person.

Tina had learned a lot about Ryan through their online interactions. They had talked about their favorite movies, music, and even shared their dreams and aspirations. One day, gathering all her courage, Tina asked him if he had a girlfriend. To her delight, he had replied with a simple "No." As time passed, Tina’s feelings for Ryangrew stronger. She spent hours daydreaming about him, wondering if he could ever feel the same way about her. Her friends, aware of her long-standing crush, often teased her and encouraged her to confess her feelings. But Tina, terrified of rejection, always hesitated.

One evening, while playing a game of Truth or Dare with her friends online, Tina dared to confess her feelings to Ryan. With her heart pounding in her chest and her palms sweaty, she opened her chat with Ryan and typed out a message, confessing her feelings for him. She hit send and waited anxiously for his reply. Minutes felt like hours as she stared at her phone. Finally, a notification popped up. Ryan had replied. Her heart sank as she read his message: "Sorry, Tina. I don’t feel the same way." Shortly after, he stopped responding to her messages altogether. Tina panicked and quickly sent another message, trying to cover her tracks. She claimed that her confession was just a dare from her friends during a game of Truth or Dare.

The next few days were awkward. Tina noticed Ryan’s presence even more keenly, and each time they crossed paths, she felt a pang of regret. Their online conversations had come to a halt, and the easy camaraderie they once shared was gone. Then, one day, tragedy struck. Tina’s heart shattered as she saw Ryan’s latest posts on social media. He was beaming in the photos, his arm around a new girl. Post after post, he flaunted his new relationship, leaving Tina feeling crushed and despondent.

Tina closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to hold back the tears. The chapter of her life where she secretly adored Ryan was over. She knew she had to move on, but the pain of seeing him with someone else was almost unbearable.

Tina's sadness enveloped her like a heavy fog, making it hard to see the bright spots in her day-to-day life. Every time she opened her phone, she couldn't help but check Rohit's profile, even though it caused her more pain. She would scroll through his posts repeatedly, each one a fresh reminder of her unrequited feelings.

Ryan’s social media was filled with stories and post that seemed to flaunt his new relationship. In one photo, he and the girl were at a cafe, sharing a dessert with two spoons, their heads close together as they smiled for the camera. The caption read, "choan." indicating their love and choan showing their love where cho Chloe's first three words were used and choan last two words came from Ryan last letters.

Another story showed them at the beach, Ryan and his gf Chole, brushing their teeth together in his house.

Each post was a dagger to Tina's heart, each photo a scene she had once imagined herself in. "Sweet dreams'' song which Ryan sang for Tina was all her illusion that's what she thought. He also posted a video singing "Lovely" song dedicated to Chole.

Tina’s friends tried to console her, but their words felt empty. "He wasn't worth it," they'd say, or "You'll find someone better," but Tina found little comfort in these reassurances. She felt a profound sense of loss, not just for Rohit, but for the dreams she had built around him.

Nights were the hardest. She lay in bed, the glow of her phone the only light in her room, re-reading old conversations with Rohit, now tinged with a bittersweet nostalgia. She would type out messages to him, only to delete them before sending. She was desperate for the connection they once shared but knew it was gone.

One night, she came across a particularly painful post: a video montage of Ryan and his new girlfriend set to their favorite song, a song Tina and Ryan had once bonded over. The video showed snippets of their dates, candid moments of laughter, and stolen kisses. It ended with the words, "Thank you for making me the happiest I've ever been."

Tina put her phone down, tears streaming down her face. She hugged her pillow tight, feeling the weight of her heartbreak. It wasn’t just about Ryan having someone else; it was about the loss of the relationship she had imagined, the future she had hoped for.

As the days turned into weeks, Tina realized that she needed to let go. Holding on to the pain was only making her suffer more. Slowly, she started to unfollow and mute Ryan’s updates, choosing to shield herself from the constant reminders of what she had lost. She leaned on her friends more, finding solace in their support, and began to focus on her own passions and interests.

Tina knew the path to healing was long, but she also knew that each step away from the past was a step toward her own peace and happiness. And though her heart still ached, she took comfort in the fact that one day, it would beat someone who felt the same way about her.
