Debt to Repay

The Pierre Family owed the Delta family $30,000,000.00 and it was time for their daughter Prianca to pay the price. Being the black sheep of the family, her father could not wait to give her life to Sebastian as payment. Sebastian Delta was the tyrant who everyone feared and obeyed no matter what. Prianca felt her life coming to an end. She could not believe that her family would betray her like that. Prianca being the eldest of the four siblings had to shoulder the responsibility and save the majority. Sobbing under the covers, Prianca thought of a million and one ways to get the money to repay the Delta family. Hearing the news of her family debts, no one dared give a penny to help the situation. Queen State wasn’t exactly the best place to live if you were poor. The majority of folks in town were filthy rich and treated the poor as trash. The school system was divided based on status and wealth. Gazing at the ceiling, Prianca thought of running away but she knew it was of no use. Half of Queen State belonged to the Delta family, which means that there was no place for her to hide. Since she could not think of a solution to her problem, she forced herself to sleep. “ tomorrow is another day,” she said softly.

Early that morning, Julie  Prianca's younger sister got up and made breakfast. She knew that today was the last day that she would get to see her sister in one piece. She cried while making breakfast, she felt powerless and helpless at the same time. Her other siblings couldn’t care less about Prianca or what was going to happen to her, I guess that they are too young to understand. Moses Prianca's father did not return home from drinking last night so the house was extremely quiet which is rare.  Prianca got up from the bed, combed her long black shining hair, tidied herself up and walked towards the kitchen. In a few hours, her execution was near.

Sebastian Delta asked the goons to clean the car and have it ready to leave the mansion in an hour. He had numerous errands to run today and felt like swagging on the way. Sebastian was a tall handsome, red skin man with perfect physiques but a serious face. He never smiles or entertains the common citizen. Coming from a long line of Tyrants, Sebastian might be the devilish of them all. He sat in his arm chair and thought about how he was going to punish the Pierre family for their long standing debt. “ Should I bury, slaughter or shoot”.....he thought to himself and chuckled. The sound of death excites him. The more he thought of it, the more he laughed out loud.

From a distance, Prianca could hear Moses singing as he always repeats his favorite line

"Don't worry about a thing

'Cause every little thing gonna be alright!" .

Hearing those, she immediately closes her eyes and braces herself for the unknown. She spoke to Julie about taking care of her brothers and being a good girl when she went away. Julie cried and cried but Prianca wiped her tears and told her that everything was going to be okay. While laying in bed that morning, Prianca prayed to God to save her life and that of her family. Moses came into the house, looked at his eldest daughter with disgust on his face and went off to bed. Prianca eyes got teary but quickly wiped it away and went to stay outside waiting for what …………….she had no idea.
