13. Cucumber juice
Once Taehyung learned Jungkook’s strategy for studying Classical Chinese literature, he read through the character's explanation carefully and proceeded to memorize it while lying in bed.

"His legs were resting lightly against Jungkook’s and he was being extremely quiet and obedient.*
Half an hour later, Taehyung silently fell asleep... No one knows if he finished memorizing the Classical Chinese passage.
It wasn't even lights out yet. Jungkook was amused as he looked at Taehyung who was soundly sleeping while cuddling his book.

*Unconsciously pulled it back into his arms, trapping Jungkook’s hand against his chest in the process.*
This tug also caused Jungkook's hand to brush Taehyung's lips. The soft and cool feeling of his lips was like the caress of an invisible little hand on Jungkook’s heart, making it tremble slightly.

*Stared at Taehyung's face for some time, not withdrawing his hand that was caught in Taehyung's embrace.*

*Felt the heat from Taehyung 's chest spread through his pajamas to his hand and his thoughts were thrown into a jumble.*

*He narrowed his eyes, his attention momentarily drawn to Taehyung's exposed collarbones.*
By the age of 14, Jungkook realized that his sexuality was not that of the majority. He didn't bother sharing this realization with his parents as he found it to be unnecessary. In any event, his family was open-minded and his parents were able to accept things quickly. This understanding of his parents made him feel that there would be little to no problems at the time he came out of the closet.
Consequently, Jungkook didn't face any censure for his sexual orientation and was able to be bent openly and without much pressure.
When Taehyung moved to this school, Jungkook quickly noticed him. It couldn't be called a crush, but Taehyung was Jungkook’s ideal type: the shape of his eyebrows, lips, nose, chin, ears, and fingers... his hair and his body... even the proud way he looked at others everything about him was a bullseye.
That's why Jungkook was attracted to Taehyung.

As a result, a cold war happened. Jungkook would only tease Taehyung on occasion or in retaliation, appreciating the way the beautiful young man looked when he got angry. He believed that this would remain their status quo, but...
Since two days ago, Taehyung changed after suffering through the loss of his grandfather, a high fever, and recurring nightmares. Maybe it was because Jungkook showed concern for him in this moment of vulnerability and helped him out in spite of their rocky past, but the stubborn Taehyung seemed to have a sudden change of heart. His attitude towards Jungkook made a 180 degree turn and he was regularly trying to get close to him.

Based on his looks, personality, speech, and bearing, Jungkook hadn't thought Taehyung to be a straight guy from the start, and it seemed like he was right. The only downside was that this Taehyung brand of little sticky cake was now stuck to him 24/7 not only sticking to him, but teasing him nonstop.

There were still around 10 minutes until lights off so Jungkook turned on the reading light on the desk, switched off the overhead light, grabbed some tissues, and snuck to the toilet...

Doing this in the dormitory was too risky; it would be embarrassing if Taehyung woke up part-way through. Students who wanted to do this kind of thing in peace would do so at night, sneaking to the toilet with tissues in hand to hide in a bathroom stall and 'make their own cucumber juice'.
Although the toilets at night were a little creepy, Jungkook still remembered the feeling from when Taehyung hugged his hand. His right hand felt as though it was carrying Taehyung's warmth and sweet fragrance.

*Pale-faced as he looked at the only toilet stall with a locked door and called out in an aggrieved tone*

*Pulled his pants up and opened the door, responding* "Yep, I'm here."

*Stood in his sleepwear with slippers on his feet and slightly messy hair, hugging a pillow in his arms.*
Once he saw Jungkook come out, he immediately reached out and poked his abs, absorbing a bit of Yang energy.

*He asked with amusement* "Why'd you come here?"

*Was silent for a moment before replying guiltily* "Going to the toilet."
What actually happened was that Taehyung woke up and discovered that Jungkook was gone and the lights were switched off, leaving only the eerie glow of the reading light on the desk. He didn't know when Jungkook had left and figured he would start seeing ghosts at any moment.
Guessing that a trip this late at night would be to go to the toilet, Taehyung picked up Jungkook’s pillow for comfort and ran to the toilets to find him.

"I guessed that you were here, so I called to make sure." *turned away and took two steps toward the urinals before walking back and pushing the pillow into Jungkook’s arms.* "Hold it for a bit."
The poor pillow, dragged along to the toilet!

"You brought a pillow to the toilet?" *couldn't conceal his smile.*

*As he reached for the pillow, he remembered that he still had some bodily fluids on his hand and he hurriedly tucked it under his arm instead.*

*Clicked his tongue.* "It wasn't on purpose, I was too sleepy."

*After that, he walked to the urinal, pulled his pants down a bit, and took aim, shooing Jungkook away.* "Go out for a bit."

*Took the pillow and walked out.*
Outside the toilets was the water room, and the water room opened directly to the hallway. When he exited the toilets, Jungkook found that it was already past lights out and the water room and hall were both empty. Clearly, 'little Jungkook' had a decent amount of stamina.

*Washed his hands under a tap. Once he was done, he called out without waiting for Taehyung's question* "I'm still here."
Kim Taehyung
"I didn't ask you," *replied confidently*

"Go back first."
He just got some Yang energy, so he should be fine!
As if he forgot how scared he was moments ago!
Since his desires were sated, Jungkook slept quite soundly that night, even sleeping without disruption through Taehyung's octopus hugs in the latter half of the night. It could be said that he was unable to be disturbed even with a beauty sitting on his lap.

*From now on, he'll take care of his 'problem' in the toilet when the little sticky cake is sleeping, he thought calmly while half asleep.*
With his protective talisman, Taehyung's day was mostly peaceful.
The last class that afternoon was a self-study period. Before class, Taehyung had glanced at the calendar on his phone and suddenly remembered that the Arts Festival was being held next week.
Taehyung had been so stressed from seeing ghosts these days that he had forgotten all about it. Once he saw how next Thursday on his phone's calendar was circled in red.

*He depressingly remembered that the song he had to play on the piano in front of the entire school needed a lot more practice. *
Taehyung had been stressed enough lately that he no longer had any plans for 'gaining glory' by pushing himself into the limelight. But the program had been published; everyone knew that he was to perform a solo on the piano and he was unwilling to pull out at the last minute.
However, if he had to go to the music room alone to practice he may as well be killed instead; he still remembered the rumors Irene told him about ghosts in the music room. With his current experiences, he now thought that they were very likely to be true.

*Gave the problem some thought and poked Jungkook, feigning concern* "You're the MC for next Thursday's Arts Festival, right?"
Jeon Jungkook
*Looked at him sideways, chin propped up on his hand* "Yeah, what about it?"
Kim Taehyung
"Have you memorized your lines yet?"
Jeon Jungkook
"Almost, didn't have that many in the first place."
Kim Taehyung
*Pressed further, struggling* "So you don't have to go to the music room to practice your lines with Choi Irene?"
Jeon Jungkook
*Wrinkled his brows and said with indifference*
Jeon Jungkook
"Nah, we've gone over them enough already, we just need to practice one more time before the event and we'll be fine."
Kim Taehyung
*Responded with a frustrated* "Oh".
Jeon Jungkook
*Gave Taehyung a charming smile* "Don't you have a piano solo? How's the practicing coming along? Last time, I heard you play some wrong notes."
Kim Taehyung
*Unhappily* "It's been a month since I touched the piano, how could I play it perfectly now?"
Jeon Jungkook
*Encouraged him* "Then go practice."
Kim Taehyung
*Opened his workbook and grumbled quietly* "Don't wanna."
There was silence between the two for a moment.
Jeon Jungkook
"...What's wrong, little sticky cake?"
Suddenly, Jungkook who had seen through Taehyung from the start, nudged him lightly beneath the table with his legs and gently said.
"If you want me to go with you, just ask."
Kim Taehyung
*Felt an indescribable feeling in his heart. He stared at his workbook and, maintaining a look of nonchalance, quietly said* "I Want."

*Laughed softly and grabbed his uniform jacket, slinging it over his shoulder. He patted Taehyung - who was still pretending to be immersed in his workbook- lightly on the head and said*

"I'm going, quick, stick to me."
Kim Taehyung
*Didn't say a word and immediately obediently stuck to him.*
The music room was bathed in the light of the setting sun, warm orange light reflecting off of the piano. Taehyung wiped off the dust from the piano bench with a tissue before retrieving his sheet music from within and placing it on the piano's music stand.

*He sat on the left side of the piano bench and tugged on Jungkook’s sleeve, commanding* "Sit on the bench too."
Jeon Jungkook
*Obediently sat down.*
Kim Taehyung
*Frantically trying to make up an excuse to conceal his intentions, added* "You... sit here and help me keep the sheet music upright."
Jeon Jungkook
*Glanced at the compliant sheet music that definitely didn't need help standing upright.*
Jeon Jungkook
*He took a breath then blew on it and said* "It's upright now, you can start practicing."
