Chapter 5

Fabian suddenly woke up at the sound of a muffled scream and continuous sobs. Rose was shaking as he tightened his hold on her.

" It's okay, I'm here, let it all out," He said softly while his heart was hurting at sight before him. Fabian knew why she was in pain, how he wished he could take it instead. He kept whispering soothing things in her ear, stroking her head until he could physically see that she no longer shaking.

"Why did he cheat? Was I not good enough? Am I not that attractive? Why did he decide to marry me if he was going to cheat anyway? Why did he try to make me believe that we would have a future together?!! Why was I so dumb?!! " Rose said between sobs.

Suddenly she pushed Fabian away and stood up from the bed, tears blurring her vision. She wobbled as she tried to make her way to the bathroom. Fabian got up immediately and pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her.

" I'm here," He said calmly.

" THAT'S WHAT HE SAID BUT WAS HE ?" Rose yelled as she tried pushing Fabian away while holding her chest in pain. Fabian held her tighter when she began trying to get out of his hold.

" I wasted my time. I gave up so much in that relationship. I didn't know that I was planning someone else's wedding dress. How could David do this to me? What did I do wrong? " Rose said painfully between sobs.

Fabian grabbed her chin and made eye contact with her, his eyes a dark stormy blue.

" Listen to me; you did nothing wrong. You did everything a man wants to have in a woman when they are in a relationship. That fool is the real loser here. Cheating is an ordinary thing for him do. He has no remorse. I could even go as far as to say that he never loved anybody in his life because if he did, he wouldn't dare make them feel pain. That is what love does to you" He said

" He is a carefree guy, doesn't listen to anyone and gives zero shit about what people say. He does what he wants when he wants, and no one can tie him down. Not even you. Do you think that he loves Becky?" He asked, rhetorically.

" I don't. I think David took you for granted and started to have sex with every girl that would raise his reputation. At the same time, he wanted to appear like a good, married, faithful husband that any woman would love to have. Becky is the perfect example of this and unfortunately, so were you and a dozen more women."

Rose stiffened as he started to describe what David did.

"Nobody deserves that pain, especially not you. Heck, I even had my assistant go to his flat to break down his car so that he wouldn't meet with the women later on and spend some time with you." Fabian finished.

Rose stared at him in shock then her golden-brown eyes flashed in hot anger.

" You knew. Why didn't you tell me? You KNEW!! " She screamed.

Fabian flinched and lowered his head. If it were any other situation, he would have laughed at his actions. His innocent little wife had no idea how much power she held.

" Yes, Rose. I knew. I knew about the cheating scandals and how he cheated on you with every woman that he met or that were in his music videos. I did a lot of unquestionable stuff to stop him from meeting more than half of those women. I didn't say anything because I thought it wasn't my place to say it. It would have caused a lot of unwanted drama, and it all would have hurt you. I have a lot of people monitoring my every move. I thought that it would be easier for you if you found out yourself. That way, no drama was created.

I didn't go to the official wedding ceremony as I knew it wouldn't have ended well if I did. I didn't know if you felt the same thing. I figured if you found out by yourself, you would rise above it. I didn't want to interfere with your marriage. The nights when I found David cheating on you were the worst. The villa had to be empty before I got home. Earl would notify the staff beforehand about the situation, and they would all scatter like ants. I don't blame them. I was furious that David wasn't faithful to you. I would have treated you so much better. Now I have got the chance.

Imagine your childhood best friend who you haven't seen in six years coming to your house and telling you that your husband is cheating on you. Not to mention that the silent rumours.  You would have laughed, called me a fool, knowing your loyalty to him, you would have killed me right then and there. " Fabian chuckled as he said the last part.

Rose stared at him. That is what she would have done. As the realization hit her, her anger found its way up again.

" You're right," she said quietly. I should have seen all the red flags. BUT NO, I was STUPID!" At this statement, she punched Fabian's Chest in anger. She gasped as she realized what she had done. She just hit the most powerful man in America. Rose stared at him in shock and took a step back. Suddenly she let out a surprised squeak as she landed on the bed, Fabian hovering over her, his blue eyes transmitting tranquillity. Rose looked up at Fabian and apologized.

" It's okay. I don't mind. As I said, let it all out, I'm here for you. I will always be."

Rose gazed at him, her eyes locked with his and gave him a shy smile." You haven't changed a bit in these past six years" She reached out and stroked his cheek. Fabian closed his eyes at the touch and let out a small chuckle.

"Only for you...Only for you" He opened his eyes and stared at her. " You are my wife now. We need trust, loyalty as the fundaments of our relationship and that is not all. The way I act and behave with the rest of the world, you will never have to experience that! "

" However, I must warn you, If you dare break my trust, angel, you will see the same side they see!" Fabian's eyes turned dark at this statement.

Rose shivered at the intensity in his eyes and sat up, their lips just a few centimetres away.

" Don't worry. I promise you I won't get close to another man. Although I have to mention, I'm the same."

Fabian noticed the cold, distant look in her eyes. " I promise you that I won't get close to another woman. My words might mean nothing to you right now, but I will do everything in my power to prove to it to you," he responded softly.

" You always do..." Rose said as they stared at each other.

He placed her back on the bed." Little Dove, you being this close to me isn't helping, after all, it is our wedding night " He whispered in her ear.

Rose blushed as her heart started pounding rapidly. Fabian could sense the nervousness coming from Rose.

" If you are in doubt, we can delay our wedding night. I don't mind,"  stated Fabian as he got up.

Rose smiled at his thoughtfulness as she watched him get up. A thought made it's way to Rose," We are married. I'm married to my childhood friend. Six years ago, I wanted him badly. The feelings that I had for him are slowly resurfacing."

She reached out, took hold of Fabian's arm and pulled him towards her. She wrapped her arms around his waist tightly. Rose giggled at the surprised look on his face.

" I'm ready. I won't regret it. We are married, after all."

Fabian nestled his face beside her neck, the sweet perfume hitting him in waves.

" Are you sure? You won't have the chance to step down after I made you mine," he said, his hot breath tickling her neck.

" I'm sure" Rose replied, looking up at him entirely mesmerized by the passionate look in his eyes, taking in the light blue flecks in his dark blue eyes. Her heartfelt like it was going to jump out of her chest. His eyes darkened as she stared up at him, her tongue flicking out of her mouth to wet her bottom lip, which suddenly felt dry. Fabian's eyes dropped to her lips and followed the movement, a small moan coming from his throat. Immediately after hearing her response, Fabian captured her lips.

Sensations exploded on Rose's tongue as his lips moved with hers, and she softly moaned as his taste filled her mouth, her eyes closed as she brought her arms up to wrap them around Fabian's neck, one hand gripped tightly in his hair. Rose's mind was buzzing, her body getting hotter and hotter as the pleasure started shooting straight to her libido. Suddenly Fabian grabbed her hips and gently pressed himself against her body. Rose gasped and whimpered at the feeling, clutching his shoulders as bolts of electricity shot up and down throughout her whole body.

Fabian groaned staring at her with lust-filled eyes. Fabian crushed his lips against hers again. Rose wrapped her legs around his waist. She moaned into his mouth as they fought for dominance, earning a small moan from Fabian when she sucked on his tongue gently. In return Fabian pushed his hips against hers, pressing his erection harder, directly against her entrance. The friction between clothes was frustrating for the both of them. Rose clutched his back and cried out at the sensation " Oh God! Fabian! Please! "

Fabian wanted to mark her and make her his, but the burning curiosity got the better of him. Only one question was stopping him from losing control.

" Rose, have you ever made love with David?" Fabian asked as he started kissing down her neck, nibbling on the skin slightly making Rose gasp and squirm beneath him.

Rose looked in the opposite direction, not quite meeting his eyes, her face flushed with embarrassment.

" I never made love with David. The furthest we have gone in the making of love is him giving me love bites on my neck. "said Rose quietly.

Fabian stared at her with surprise. He initially thought, since she was married and was in a relationship with him before marriage for one year, that this couldn't possibly be her first time. He was angry at David, but one feeling blossomed above the others. Happiness.

" What's wrong? " Rose noticed Fabian was conflicted in his thoughts. Fabian stared at Rose, loving that in his presence, she was blushing attractively.

Fabian lifted her shirt at the hips and examined them.

" Does it hurt?" He asked, worryingly.

Rose shook her head, confused to his reaction while negative thoughts started to swarm inside her head.

" Are you not satisfied with me? " She whispered, not sure how she would react if he said no. Fabian looked at her and pulled her close.

" You are more than enough," He told her.

" If I had continued going, you would have been hurt. Why didn't you tell me that this was going to be your first time?" He questioned.

" How was I supposed to bring it up? " Rose responded, letting her head rest against his chest.

Fabian kissed her forehead, cocooned her in a blanket. " You are Mrs Griffith, whether we did it or not. Now let's get you a bath ready and see if you are hurt. " He comforted. Fabian got a bath ready and placed Rose gently into the bathtub while looking to see if he hurt her. He let out a sigh of relief when he didn't find anything. Fabian was sure he had hurt Rose since he went a bit rough with her. Once she was finished and dressed, he pulled her to him, holding her as if she was fragile, kissing her forehead. Rose fell asleep at the sound of his steady heartbeat.
