Chapter 4: I Await Your Reply

"Shall I walk you home?" I ask May before she almost instantly slides her arm in mine. I blush because it's now almost as if she purposefully pressing my arm between her chest.

"Are you thinking something immorale?"

"What! No! What do you take me for?! A pervert?" I jump at her question as she leans in to look me in the eye. I look away, blushing bright red like the setting colors of our two suns: Aaro and Lula. Setting suns..

"We should get going before Lula sets."

"Ok, I don't mind if we take our time though." May says beginning to skip.

The whole time it took to get from the school to her house I was simply amazed at how beautiful she looked when she was having such fun. Again I wonder what she's thinking..

When We got to her house I realized that the trip felt too short..

"Well, here we are, if only the trip lasted longer.." May says sort of slowly and in a low tone.

Her house was small but cozy looking. Grass growing out of the roof, windows and all other openings to the house were round. Inside looked so much bigger than the outside, probably because it was nestled inside the ground, stepping down maybe a foot or two from the ground into her house. She's already taken her shoes off.

"Why don't you stay? It's dark already and I've prepared some dinner.. I also have some things to talk about..." May says obviously anxious, I sit down with my back to her in order to take my shoes off, they can't just slip off like May's can after all.

"Ah? Does that mean yes?" May somehow feels bouncy when I feel her practically fall onto me to hug. I instantly blush. She has no consideration for where her mother parts are!

"C-could you get off of me?" I say almost sorry to ask.

"Whaat!? That's so much of an insult I don't know if I can!"

"Fine. You asked for it." I said gently grazing my fingers across her side as if to tickle but slowly and only in one direction intstead of back and forth.

"Waaaahhhh!? What was that!?" She screams jumping away, crawling backwards until she's pressed up against the wall. I approach her with a gleam in my eye, fingers moving uncontrollably.

"Such a brave girl, inviting one she just met into her home and not only that but to stay the night. Oh, but that's not all! Are you throwing yourself onto me?" Trust me when I say, this is total sarcasm and I am just teasing her.

"You're not going to do that to me are you?" she says looking nervous as hell on top of it she's also blushing terribly hard. "I-it's okay. If it's with you then I can rest in peace knowing it's not some pervert in an alleyway.." She almost looks like she's going to explode from exposure.

"What? I wasn't even trying that.." I say instantly stopping my charade and kowtowing, "I'm sorry I freaked you out. I was having too much fun teasing you."

"You swine! How could you mess around with a woman's feelings like that!" May cries beating on my back.

"Let's have dinner..." I say looking up with my best puppy-dog face, "I'm hungry.."

"Don't you dare change the subject!"

She presented some pretty good looking meat and what looked like a bit of wine.. or grape juice, I couldn't tell.

"Now, what is this?" I say pouring another drink of the juice after we finish eating. On the sofa, May then turns her entire body towards me.

"If I tell you, do you promise not to freak out?" She says hesitantly looking me in the eye.

"U-Ummmm, Okay?" I say confused as to what it could be that would freak me out about it.

"Bloodwine."

"What?" I say spitting it back into the cup..

"It's Bloodwine!" Her shoulders scrunch eyes squeezed shut. I put up a ward really quick. "I'm a half-blood vampire, that means I've had my vampire powers taken away even though I still need Bloodwine as nourishment. It also means that I've been exiled.." That's the quickest two sentences I've heard before and yet I was able to keep up..

"Exiled? Why?" I wonder, why would they do this so such an awesome girl?

"Because I can't stand their methods of seducing people, bringing them to bed, having it with them, and finally consuming them before daytime comes.. They didn't like that I refused to do any of that and so they exiled me, using powerful magic to take away my powers until I reach a level of power myself and sent me away with only a contact in order to get bloodwine." She looks like she is about to start crying so trying to comfort her I put my hand to her face, wiping a tear forming and sliding her hair back behind her ear. She looks up abruptly and somewhat surpirsed. This brings more tears coming..

"S-sorry, that wasn't my intention to just make you cry even more. I'm sorry."

"N-no. you're not at fault. I'm just a crybaby.."

"No! You're not! Back when I was saving you? You weren't crying, you know why? because you are not a crybaby! If you are crying, it's because you were hurt badly.. And I'll beat any who did that to you, just tell me who to beat up and it's done."

"No! You can't beat the entire vampire race! they're too powrerful, even for you!"

Sliding examining a strand of her hair, "Doesn't matter, they hurt my May, they will pay." by then she had a grip on my shirt and her hands were shaking. I grab those hands in one, stabilizing them and my other hand goes to her chin. "I really want to kiss you right now, are you sure you aren't luring me?"

"Not with that ward on, no Deamos I know could break it.." She says extremely embarrassed.

"Then..." I say just before our lips touch. Her lips, being really soft and smooth kept biting at mine, trying to make a mark for proof of this moment for later. I let go of her hands and wrap around her waist, supporting her back. She seems to have the same idea as she grabs my shoulders and leans into me, and we end up laying down on the sofa with her ontop. When my back hits the sofa I open her mouth a little more and our tongues intertwine, wrapping around and around over and over again. Until suddenly she sits up and covering her mouth she looks away beet red but not just in her face.

"Why'd you stop?" I ask clasping my hands at her back.

"I just was thinking that if we didn't stop, we might end up doing things that people don't even do when dating. We're not even dating yet.."

"O-oh.." I say also starting to blush, my Little Johnson starting to pucker. 'plz don't notice, plz don't notice, plz don't notice!' She jumps a little. 'She noticed!'

"H-hey.." She immediately diverts my attention seeming extremely hesitant and somewhat distant as she was almost wispering. I sit up, bracing myself against my elbows. "What do you think about us. Dating?"

She doesn't stop blushing but uncovers her mouth and is now looking me in the eye more sincerely than ever before.

"I-I think that even if we both know each other's feelings we should give eachother some time to confirm them..." I say as gently as I can. She squirms a bit, sending Little Johnson soaring......

I 'Pooh!!' and pass out.

I wake up with May at the side of my bed resting her head on my lap. I smile and run my fingers through her hair. She stirs and looks at me.

"O-oh! You're awake! Finally!" She almost shouts picking up my hand in hers. Wait. This isn't my room..

"W-where am I?" I ask her.

"My room, why?"

"O-oh.. No reason. How long was I out?"

"Ummmm..." She says seeming to be counting in her head. "About four hours. I think." May responds.

I look outside and Aaro is risen with Lula in tow.

"Have you ever wondered how or why there's two suns?" I ask her, seeing as this is a weekend we aren't in a rush to school.

"Well. I always that they were like two beings similar to your God but as a couple, eternally spreading their love for all to see."

I remember her asking me out last night.. "Wait for me, give me until the dance, if I haven't given you an answer by then, just ask me again, with even more umpf. Okay?" I was holding her hands together in one enormous fist, and looking at her intently. I hoped she saw my eyes just as sincere as hers when she was asking for me last night.

She smiles, and cocks her head sideways, "Okay!"
