Beyond The White Coat: A Love Tale (Taekook)(Vkook)
Chaotic encounter
The soft glow of dawn illuminates Seoul City Park, casting a tranquil ambiance over the sprawling greenery. The air is crisp and invigorating as Kim Taehyung pounds the pavement with determined strides, his breaths forming misty puffs in the chilly morning air.
Jeon Jungkook, clad in sportswear and earphones in place, matches Taehyung's pace as they jog along the winding paths of the park. Each step reverberates with energy and purpose, a shared determination to push themselves to their limits.
As they round a bend in the path, Taehyung, lost in thought, fails to notice Jungkook approaching from the opposite direction. With a sudden collision, their worlds collide, and Jungkook stumbles backward, teetering on the edge of balance.
Jeon Jungkook
(startled, ready to fight) "Hey, watch where you're going!"
Before Taehyung can offer an apology, Jungkook's foot lands on a recently watered patch of grass, sending him tumbling into a muddy puddle with a resounding splash. Mud splatters in all directions, coating Jungkook from head to toe in a sticky mess.
Jeon Jungkook
(exasperated, covered in mud) "Oh, for the love of—"
His words are cut short as he struggles to rise from the muddy ground, his expression a mixture of frustration and disbelief.
Kim Taehyung
I'm so sorry! Are you alright?"
Jeon Jungkook
(gritting his teeth) "Do I look alright to you? You're blind or something?"
Kim Taehyung
(defensive, also frustrated) "Hey, it's not like I did it on purpose! Maybe you should watch where you're going too!"
As Jungkook rises to his feet, mud dripping from his clothes and hair, he shoots Taehyung a glare that could melt steel. Despite his attempts to brush off the mud, he remains a disheveled mess, a far cry from his usual composed self.
Jeon Jungkook
(irritated, gesturing to himself) "How could you not see a 5.7 feet omega right in front of you?!"
Kim Taehyung
(equally irritated) "Well, how could you not see a 6.3 feet alpha coming your way?"
Jeon Jungkook
(sarcastically) "Yeah, but at least you're all clean and not the one who has fallen on the muddy ground!"
Jeon Jungkook
(irritably, examining his mud-covered white shirt) "Great, now I have to wash this shirt more carefully. Thanks a lot!"
Kim Taehyung
"Hold on a second. I've already apologized, and we're both at fault here. So why do I have to listen to you rant?"
Jeon Jungkook
(sarcastically) "Right, because alphas are just so hard to miss with their towering height and all."
Jeon Jungkook
(rolling his eyes, sarcastically) "Oh, pardon me, Your Highness. I didn't realize I was interrupting your busy schedule of jogging and bumping into innocent people."
Kim Taehyung
(exasperated) "Look, I said I'm sorry. Can't we just move on from this?"
Jeon Jungkook
(mockingly) "Oh, of course, Mr. Perfect. Let's just pretend like you didn't ruin my morning jog and turn me into a mud monster."
Kim Taehyung
(sighing) "Fine, have it your way. But I'm not sticking around for any more of your drama."
Jeon Jungkook
(smirking) "Oh, don't worry, I've had my fill of entertainment for the day. Watching you stumble over your own apologies was quite amusing."
Kim Taehyung
(gritting his teeth) "You know what? Forget it. I'm out of here."
As Taehyung starts to leave, Jungkook, known as the most mischievous troublemaker of his hometown, can't contain his anger. Seeing only himself dirty, he hatches an impish plan. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he scoops up handfuls of mud and bolts towards Taehyung's retreating figure.
Jeon Jungkook
(gleefully) "Oh, we're not done yet!"
Before Taehyung can react, Jungkook reaches him and, with a devilish grin, smudges the mud all over Taehyung's jacket, leaving muddy handprints in his wake.
Kim Taehyung
(taken aback, incredulous) "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"
Jeon Jungkook
(laughing) "Just returning the favor, Mr. Perfect! Now we're even."
Taehyung stands there, speechless, as he stares at his now mud-splattered jacket. Jungkook's laughter echoes through the park, a testament to his victory in this impromptu battle of wills.
Kim Taehyung
(exasperated, trying to clean his jacket) "This was completely unintentional, omega. You didn't have to go and dirty my clothes like this."
Jeon Jungkook
(shrugging, unrepentant) "Hey, you bumped into me first! Consider this payback for ruining my morning jog."
Kim Taehyung
(gritting his teeth) "But I already apologized for that! And now you've escalated things by making a mess of my jacket."
Kim Taehyung
"You call this payback? This is just childish! What kind of ill-mannered omega goes around smearing mud on people? God knows how your family handles you!"
Jeon Jungkook
(taken aback, hurt evident in his eyes) "I-I didn't mean to upset you that much. I was just joking around..."
Kim Taehyung
(scornfully) "Joking around? You think ruining someone's clothes is a joke? Grow up, . Act your age, not like some spoiled brat throwing tantrums in public!"
Kim Taehyung
It's common sense that if you bump into someone, both parties are at fault. I even apologized, but what you did was unnecessary and downright pathetic."
Jeon Jungkook
(trying to hold back tears) "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause so much trouble."
As they continue their exchange, Taehyung becomes acutely aware of the judgmental glances from passersby. A cute little omega boy, who looked like he could be his pitiful wife, was being shouted at by a much larger alpha. The scene was undoubtedly drawing attention, and Taehyung couldn't shake the feeling of embarrassment creeping over him.
Kim Taehyung
(softening slightly) "Look, I... I didn't mean to go off on you like that. It's just... I've had a rough morning, and..."
Jeon Jungkook
(stubbornly like a bratty kid ) "But it's not fair! Only I got dirty. We should both suffer equal loss since we're both at fault!"
As Jungkook stubbornly insists on the unfairness of their situation, Taehyung's gaze drifts downward, noticing the extent of mud staining Jungkook's clothes. He sees how the dirtiness of Jungkook's appearance contrasts starkly with the judgmental glances they're receiving from passersby, particularly from other alphas who seem to be scrutinizing Jungkook from head to toe.
Feeling a surge of empathy, Taehyung swiftly removes his own jacket, despite the fact that it's already stained with mud. He steps closer to Jungkook, holding out the jacket.
Kim Taehyung
(softly) "Here, wear this. It'll cover the back of your shorts. It's... it's the least I can do."
Jungkook looks at Taehyung, surprise flickering in his eyes at the unexpected gesture of kindness. Without a word, he accepts the jacket, slipping it on to cover the mud stains on his clothes.
As Jungkook slips on Taehyung's jacket, a sense of gratitude washes over him, softening his features. He looks up at Taehyung with a hint of wonder in his eyes.
Jeon Jungkook
(softly) "Thanks. I didn't expect... I mean, if I knew you'd give me your jacket, I would've dirtied your t-shirt instead."
Taehyung's lips curve into a genuine smile at Jungkook's remark.
Jeon Jungkook
(pouting) "But hey, we're still not even, you know. Only the clothes I'm wearing got dirty."
Taehyung chuckles at Jungkook's playful pout, impressed by his quick wit and resilience.
Kim Taehyung
"Well, for now, why don't you head home and get cleaned up? And if we ever meet again, you can throw water at me or something. Then we'll be even."
Their exchange earns them a few more amused glances from passersby, but Taehyung and Jungkook don't seem to mind. As they part ways, there's a sense of warmth between them, a silent understanding that this chance encounter has marked the beginning of something unexpected and exciting. And as Taehyung watches Jungkook disappear into the crowd, he can't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the next time their paths cross.
