She was checking herself out using her phone's front camera.

Mitch

Oh, what do I look like today? Do I look okay? Or do I look pale? This is insane. Why does she have to force me to attend this party. I just hope no one could notice that I cried so hard last night.

Standing up from her bed, she remembered something.

Mitch

Oh no! I almost forgot that I've told him I won't be coming tonight. What if he attended the party and he saw me, I would look like a liar. Jacel, truly, you are giving me so much stress.

She brought out her phone and started typing a message.

Mitch

💬Hi! Actually, I will be attending tonight's party. See you around!💬

She hasn't pressed the 'send' button yet.

Mitch

Should I really send him this message? What would he think? That I really wanted to see him? There's no way I would let him think that way.

In the end, she just deleted the message.

Mitch

Deleted. He doesn't have to know that I won't be coming. He's not my boyfriend. He's not even a friend of mine.

Her mother came into her room.
