CHAPTER 1 - THE RETURN OF LORD RHINUS

A thousand years ago, the gods invaded the human realm and waged war against humans. During the war , many strong humans fell and  humans suffered heavy casualties. The gods were above humans in every way . So, what would they gain from battling with the humans? Actually,the gods plundered the human realms in pursuit of immortality. Why would the gods pursue immortality ?. To humans , the gods are immortal . But the gods can only live for some thousands of years. After discovering that the Verion crystals in the human realms could prolong their lives, a full scale war was launched upon the humans . But the war didn't last for a long time as Lord Rhinus (One of the guardians of the gods' realm ) intervened. He was strong enough to drive away the invading gods but was seriously wounded. Then , he sealed off the bridge between the humans and the gods' realms. As a result, the war ended but humans suffered great damage.

     They lost most of their powerful martial practitioners and barely avoided extinction. Lord Rhinus was branded a traitor for helping the humans and couldn't return to the gods realm . He chose to stay in the human realm and planned ahead for the inevitable future. 

    It took Lord Rhinus a thousand years to recover from his injuries. Though he's not fully healed, he's still in good shape. Martial practitioners' realms are divided into Beginner Martial Realm , Advanced Martial Realm , Martial Master Realm, Martial Lord Realm, Martial King realm, Martial Emperor which is very rare and Demi-god realm. There's also the Martial god realm which is said to be unattainable for humans. The higher the martial realm of a practitioner, the stronger he or she will be. There were a handful of Martial Emperor and  Demi-god realm practitioners in the human realms but they were all killed during the war against the gods. Each martial realm comprises the initial stage, mid stage and final stage. Humans were naturally born with no martial realm but they could train to attain it. Some chose to live normal lives because they lack talent while some pursue the path of martial arts. Martial practitioners have the advantage of living much longer than ordinary humans.

       Vion continent was one of the two continents in the human realm consisting of Caddock , Mavinus and Orvand Empire as its top three and strongest Empires. Each of the three Empires has a Martial Emperor as her guardian. With a Martial Emperor practitioner in each of the three Empires , they could maintain a balance of power and put each other in check.

      Prince Davious was the third and the youngest prince of Caddock Empire. Owing to the loss of her mother at a tender age , Davious was bullied by his two older brothers ( Prince Arrod and Prince Bavinus ). He's not talented in martial arts and has been stuck at mid stage of the martial beginner realm for a long time, he couldn't break through to the next stage. On the other hand, Prince Arrod who was the first prince was already at the final stage of the Advanced martial realm and Prince Bavinus at the initial stage of Advanced Martial realm.

          While Davious was sleeping on a chilly night, Lord Rhinus took a liking to his body which could help him regain his full strength .So, he used a secret technique and merged with him. As a result of this,Davious possessed both his own memories and Lord Rhinus memories and of course , Lord Rhinus strength too. In other words , Davious became Lord Rhinus and Lord Rhinus became Davious. 

  The following morning, Davious paid a visit to his father.

        "Greetings , your majesty" he knelt before his father

Emperor Leotimus was at the early stage of martial Lord realm and was surprised as he couldn't see through the martial realm of Davious anymore.

   "How's your training going ?" asked the Emperor with a serious look

     "It's going well. So, I would like to leave the palace and gain more experience by traveling around" Said Davious

   "Hmm.... You've been stuck at the mid stage of the martial beginner realm for a long time. With your weak strength , you'll only get yourself killed while traveling around. I can't allow you to leave !" the Emperor retorted

    "Father , I'm strong enough to leave the palace. if you don't believe me , how about I have a battle against Prince Arrod ?" Devious replied

            Emperor Leotimus scoffed and ignored him thinking he's only trying to wiggle his way out. As a way of punishing Davious for being reckless and stubborn, the Emperor organized a battle between Davious and Prince Arrod. 

   ( AT PRINCE ARROD'S QUARTER )

"Is the father trying to get his precious son killed ?" Prince Bavinus said funnily

    "Hahahaha....who knows ?. Perhaps the idiot has wronged father in some way. This is also a good thing for me. it's a chance for me to teach that fool some lesson" Prince Arrod chuckles

    Few days later , in front of the Ministers and officials , the battle between the two Princes was held.

       Standing on the podium was Prince Arrod looking pleased with the thought that he's already won the battle . Then, Davious walked onto the stage and the Emperor commanded to begin the fight. 

    "You can come at me, brother " said Davious with a smile

         "Arrogant bastard , you must be having a death wish !" said the furious Prince Arrod
