chapter 5 unfamiliar place
Lucas
pov: The remaining wolves easily caught up to me and one pounced on my back, digging its claws down my back and sinking its teeth into my already injured shoulder. I yelped and slammed the wolf hard into a tree, throwing off my back. I heard its bones snap and her whimpered, not getting up again.
Lucas
I began to run again, the two remaining wolves followed closely after me. I knew they wanted to kill me, I killed two of their own. This would only end In a fight but I was tired and weakening out. I stopped running and the two wolves began circling around me.
Lucas
One attacked my from behind as the other attack my front. The larger one, a blonde, dug into my back and my flank as the the other, a brown, tried to go for my throat. I grabbed bit into the brown ones shoulder and pinned it underneath my weight. I tore a huge chunk of of its side, making sure it would not get up. The blonde one flipped me over and went for my neck. I tried to push it away with my front paws, trying to keep it away from my neck.
Lucas
My vision started to get blurry from loss of blood. I could feel myself getting tired and weaker. The wolf's breath smelled like rotting meat and wet dog. I pushed him off with the last of my strength and he hit a tree. I saw him stand up and stalk towards me, snarling and kicking his lips. My vision was clouded over and I felt myself shift back. I watched him pounce and I waited for my final blow, but it never came. I heard a man's voice before I fell unconscious.
Lucas
The sunlight shone directly in my eyes, making me groan in annoyance. I went to roll over but was met by a wave of pain through my body. My eyes fluttered open and I was in an unfamiliar room. Instantly my defenses went up. The unfamiliar room and the smell of pack territory urged me to escape.
Lucas
pov: The room was pale blue and white. I was sitting on what looked like a hospital bed with a few empty chairs. There was a door off to my left and a fairly large window of to my right, showing a beautiful view of a mountain range. I had monitors hook up to my chest and an IV in my arm. I bet the person here had an alarm that goes off it I removed them, so I only had a few minutes, maybe less, to make an escape.
Lucas
The window look like the easiest route. I wouldn't have to try to sneak through a building that I'm sure was occupied by people, figuring how nice and clean it was. All I would have do was open the window, maybe break it, avoid people, and make a run out of their territory. Without getting caught.
Lucas
I looked around the room for security cameras. I couldn't really tell but there was a black circle hanging on the ceiling by the door.
Lucas
I've never seen one of them before, only the older ones, if this actually was a security camera. The door had a lock on the inside, meaning I could lock it and try to buy some time.
Lucas
I tried to sit up to fast, gasping, I grabbed my ribs, only to be met with more pain. For the first time in years, I was in fresh, clean clothes. I was in a big, navy blue cotton shirt that went down to my thighs. I lifted it up to met with white bandages wrapped around my torso and ribs.
Lucas
I felt around to access the damage and groaned. A couple of my ribs were probably broken. I felt that my back had stitches. I ripped off the warm, white blankets and was met with cool air and more bandages. My right leg from calf down was wrapped.
