A Loathsome Birthday

"So I'm going to be 19 tomorrow, like I don't know what is going to happen but I look forward for the surprise my love ones have for me" Precious said putting off her lamp and slept off.

Early that morning she got up when it was still three. She walked all the way to the stairs and stopped when she heard the noise coming from the living room, her always being a curious girl she went down to check.

When she got there she meet her brother, he was busy pressing his phone and playing games her knowing that her brother never tells her happy birthday or buts a gift was anxious to see if this year will be any different.

She stood there for some minutes and he just looked at her and continued what he was doing. She felt so angry and disappointed, went back to her room and slept off.

When the sky became brighter, she got up had her bath, brushed her teeth got all dressed up and went to the dinning.

When she got there, she saw her parents and her two sisters. She greeted them and they continued what they were doing. She didn't get angry because she thought that they didn't remember so she waited for them to remember.

After some hours, her sister suddenly remembered

"Happy Birthday Sis" She said

"Thank you" Precious replied .

Immediately her sister who was the eldest said that her parents and her little sister wished her and she tanked them all.

She knew that this her year birthday was going to be a disaster because her parents were traveling that day and her parents weren't making a move.

Her being so bored in her room , she started watching movie on her laptop and in the process a call came in her phone.

She picked it up, knowing who was speaking.

"Let's meet outside" He said

"Sure why not"

"That's great let's meet by one in the evening" He said and she agreed disconnecting the call.

She got up and rushed to her wardrobe and picked out the cloth she will wear. She picked a black long skirt and a white crop-top with a black slippers.

When she was sure that it was perfect she quickly went to the bathroom to have a her bath again.

When she was done dressing up she already found out that her parents had already gone.

She quickly took told her. Elder sister that she was going out and left. On her way to meet the person she met three guys who approached her and complimented her and she smiled.

"Where are you heading to" One of them asked

"Oh I'm just going to met a friend"

"Really, looking all dolled up?"

"Yeah, it's my day you know"

"Woah, really happy Birthday, so like when you're done, just call us so we celebrate your birthday with you and also don't forget to bring your friends" He said and exchange

"Sure" she said. She brought out her phone and called him.

"I'm here, where are you" She asked when the call connected

"Look at your front" He said, and she did that. She was surprised by what she saw, He was holding the gift standing out there, she smiled, and he walked over her and gave her the gifts wishing her happy Birthday.

"Let's go over to my place, the rest a waiting for you" He said and escorted her to his car. They got in and he drove off. When they arrived to his place she saw her friends and his friends.

"Happy Birthday" They all screamed. Precious was dumbfounded.

"Wow…how did... OMG"

"Okay now birthday girl, no questions, let's go in first" Her best friend said taking her inside.

The inside was even more decorated "how did you all plan these?" Precious curiously asked.

"Actually, I was the one who brought out the idea, and we all did it" Her best friend said.

"Thank you all, I love it"

"Now that the birthday girl is satisfied, we should party" One of his friend shouted.

The music started every one was busy either food or wine. I took pictures and videos of myself and others before posting it on my media.

"Precious, I want to talk to you alone" Sydney said

"Okay" She said and they both excused themselves. "So what do you have to tell me?" She asked, but he didn't reply but tried to kiss her. She pushed him away.

"What the hell was that"

"Precious you're turning nineteen, stop acting like a teenager"

"What?"

"Don't tell me you don't know what I want"

"Fuck what you want, we are just friends, so nothing can happen between us"

"What are you scared off, is not like you haven't done it before" He sarcastically said.

Precious looked at him, surprised because he talked like a total stranger. She wasn't going to announce to the world that she was a virgin. She knows she doesn't act like one, but she wasn't going to tell him.

"Don't tell me that's why you celebrated my birthday for me because you wanted to sleep with me"

"What else do you think is the reason, you got the shape, the eyes and the baby skin who won't want you"

"You're disgusting, so this is your true face?"

"Yeah, it is. I am tired of pretending"

"you see, you can keep your gifts and the party. I'm out of here" She said leaving the room.

"Her what's wrong?" Her best friend asked when she noticed her leaving the house.

"It's Sydney, he just told me he did all these to have me on his bed"

"What? OMG. I was seriously wondering why he was so supportive about these preparations. Sydney how dare you show your face here"

"What, this is my house" He smirked.

"That's it, he's really gonna get it from me" Her Best Friend said and walk towards Sydney giving him a slap.

"That's for what you said to precious, girl let's get the hell out of here" She said dragging precious out there.

"Come let's go celebrate your birthday together"

"no, it's alright. It's almost time for my curfew, let me get back home"

"It's alright baby, just don't think about what he said"

"sure, I won't. See you later"

"Yeah, Bye, remember I Love You"

"I love you too" Precious said as she boarded a car to take her home.

When she reached home, she went straight to her room. She fell on her bed and cried.

"What a disaster" She said cleaning her face with wipe that was on the side table. She brought her phone and blocked Sydney contact.

"What's so special about birthdays, it's just day thing. It's not that special" She said standing up from her bed and entering the bathroom.
