The room

Sarah opened the door and waited outside the room for Regulus to enter....Regulus who was still in a daze, couldn't figure out if it was some kind of prank she was playing on him or if she had dementia.

"It's His Highness' order!"---the loud and emotionless voice spoke and continued, "Don't keep on standing there, enter into the room! His Highness had order that you were not allowed to complain under any circumstances!"

Regulus, without thinking anymore entered the room....Never once in his nineteen years of life had he ever seen a maid order him....He was not used to such coldness of people. Since birth, everyone except his brother had always welcomed him with a warm smile and had adored him...."I guess I should already get used to such attitude by now."----Regulus thought as he entered the room.

The room stood as if it had been neglected for a long time. The air inside it was thick with dampness alongwith a musty odor clinging to every surface. The floorboards creaked underfoot, their varnish was already worn away by countless footsteps. A rickety wooden chair leaned against the wall, its seat was split and legs were wobbly. The only thing that looked attractive was the huge windows on the western wall of the room which faced the training grounds of Aulando. They allowed the bright rays of the sun and the blue tinge of the clear sky to reflect on their glasses. The windows extended vertically, reaching from the floor all the way up to the ceiling of a room. They were very tall, spanning almost ten feet in height...

"The washroom is towards the left side."---Sarah said

"Oh Okay!"---exclaimed Regulus as he admired the beauty of the scenery outside the window standing beside it.

"Breakfast is at 7:00am, Lunch is at 1:00 pm and dinner is at 8:00pm. Today there will be no dinner since you will be attending the banquet. The banquet begins at 6:00pm, so be ready by 5:30pm. Your suit will be delivered shortly by one of the maids."----said Sarah and waited for Regulus' response

"Oh! Okay, I understand! Thank you!"---said Regulus still staring outside the window.

Sarah headed back without anymore talk and left Regulus in his new room.

It was almost ten minutes when Regulus came back to reality after admiring the view of the window. He then started moving around the room which could trace his footprints due to the thick layer of dust. Regulus saw that there was a mattress in the corner beside the washroom door. "I guess I have to sleep on this thing from now on."---he whispered as he touched the mattress with one of his tender hands.

Regulus felt as if time had stopped in that room. It was so quiet and lonely. He opened his coat and sat crossed legged in beside the window and leaned his long tired body on the dust covered walls......Regulus fell asleep in no less than a minute in that quiet and damp room.....
