A Flower, a Gaze, and a Misunderstanding
The 1st day of the Starlight Festival
The guests are welcomed by a shower of flowers as they enter the palace
Aurelia
[Excitedly, watching from the balcony with some maids] Oh, look! The princes are arriving!
Maid 1
[giggling] And they're all so handsome!
Aurelia
Oh, except for that one with the silly mustache.
The princes enter the palace, each on their own horse, and the girls make fun of them
Aurelia
[laughing] And what's with that one's horse? It's almost as big as his ego!
Just then, Crown Prince Leon of Udenchio Kingdom rides into the courtyard
Aurelia
[gasping] Oh... my... goodness...
Maid 1
[whispering] Who is that?
maid 2
That's Crown Prince Leon of Udenchio Kingdom. I've heard so much about him...
Aurelia's eyes lock onto Leon, and she feels a sudden jolt of attraction
Aurelia
[whispering to herself] I think I'm in love...
Aurelia impulsively tosses the rose she's holding down to Prince Leon, then quickly hides behind the balcony curtains
Elysia Hawthorne
[entering the balcony, unaware of what just happened] What's all the commotion about?
Aurelia
[nervously] Oh, just the princes arriving, cousin. Nothing much.
Prince Leon looks up, sees Elysia, and mistakes her for the one who threw the rose
Elysia, oblivious to Leon's gaze, starts humming a tune and twirling around the balcony, completely carefree
Aurelia
[noticing Leon's gaze is fixed on Elysia, feeling a pang of disappointment] Hmph....
