When Astrid sneaks into the school backyard to fetch a book in the library. she hears a dribbled sound of a ball echoing coming from the field.
She lunges to the field. She stand off the side watches Kai as he practice his shots on goal on the empty soccer field.
She admires the way he moves on the field and the way his muscles flex as he kicks the ball with precision.
She couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest.
