Jungkook's eyes narrowed as he listened to his family's plan.
Jeon Jungkook
"You want me to marry some stranger, some replacement for Daehyun?"
His voice was laced with disgust.
His mother's expression remained calm, but her eyes gleamed with determination.
Mrs Jeon(Jungkook's mom)
"Taeyun is not just anyone, Jungkook. He's charming, intelligent, and has a strong sense of family values. He'll help restore our reputation and stabilize our business dealings. And you've already divorced Daehyun, I see no chance for your disagreement."
Jeon Jungkook
"Marriage is just a burden, a prison. And you want me to trap myself with some stranger? No, thank you."
His mind flashed back to Daehyun, his estranged wife, who had cheated on him with her lover, Kang Min.
The betrayal still seared his heart, making him wary of any romantic entanglements.
Jeon Jungkook
"Marriage is a joke to me,"
Jungkook spat, his anger simmering.
Jeon Jungkook
"You're just trying to control me, like you always do."
His mother's face remained impassive, but her voice took on a steely tone.
Mrs Jeon(Jungkook's mom)
"You'll do as we say, Jungkook. This is for the good of the family. And if you refuse... well, let's just say we have ways of persuading you."
Jungkook's eyes locked onto his mother's, a fierce determination burning within him.
He knew his family's tactics all too well, and he was not going down without a fight.
Jungkook's eyes blazed with defiance, but his mother's words hung in the air like a sword of Damocles.
He knew she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.

"I won't do it,"
Jungkook spat, his voice laced with venom.

"I won't marry some stranger just to please you and the family."
His mother's expression remained calm, but her eyes flashed with a warning.
Mrs Jeon(Jungkook's mom)
"You will do as we say, Jungkook. Or else."
The unspoken threat hung in the air, a reminder of the family's dark secrets and the leverage they held over him.
Jungkook's heart seethed with resentment, but he knew he was trapped.
With a snarl, he relented.
Jeon Jungkook
"Fine. I'll marry him. But I'll never forgive you for this, Mother."
His mother's face creased into a cold smile.

"Forgiveness is not required, Jungkook. Only obedience."
And with that, the fate was sealed.
Jungkook was bound to a marriage he didn't want, to a person he didn't know.
The only comfort was the thought of revenge, of finding a way to escape the prison his family had built around him.
