"Soul's Burden Fate"
(-Before waking up in the strange, dirty, and dusty room inside the body of a 5-year-old child, I thought I was just dreaming. Yet this granny appeared, looking more terrifying than my own grandmother. She stood in front of me, her eyes resembling sharp knives piercing right through me. Then, my body started to tremble as if it knew what would happen next.-)
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"Who are you?" I managed to squeak out, my voice barely audible in the musty air.
Maricopa
The granny's lips curled into a wicked smile, revealing a mouthful of yellowed teeth. "Oh, dearie, you don't remember, do you?" Her voice was a raspy whisper that sent shivers down my spine.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I shook my head, fear knotting my stomach. "Remember what?"
Maricopa
Her eyes narrowed, glinting with a dark amusement. "Pretending you've lost your memories get up and get to work!"
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I scrambled to my feet, my heart pounding in my chest. "Work? What do you mean?"
Maricopa
The granny chuckled, a sound that echoed eerily in the cramped room. "Oh, you'll see soon enough. There's plenty to be done around here." Her tone brooked no argument, and I knew better than to defy her. Trembling, I nodded and took a tentative step forward, unsure of what awaited me in this strange new world.
(-That's when I remembered that the woman who greeted me the day I woke up in this world was the head maid of the emperor's palace, Maricopa. By the look of her face and eyes, I could sense that she didn't like me. From my first life up until my last, she and the empress were the ones who made my life in vain. Even if I keep changing my destiny or fate, everything seems to flow as what's been written.-)
Maricopa's eyes bore into mine, a smirk playing on her lips as if she held all the cards in this twisted game of fate.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"What do you want from me, Maricopa?" I demanded, my voice tinged with defiance, though I knew it was futile to resist.
Maricopa
She chuckled darkly, a sound that sent a shiver down my spine. "Oh, just the same thing I've always wanted," she replied, her tone dripping with malice. "Your undying loyalty and obedience."
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I gritted my teeth, frustration boiling inside me. "I won't be your pawn anymore," I retorted, my voice trembling with newfound determination.
Maricopa
Maricopa's smirk widened, her eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that, won't we?" she replied cryptically, her words hanging in the air like a sinister promise.
(-I'm tired. My body is tired of repeating everything. It makes me just want to kill myself again. My life has been flowing as it was before, me doing the maids' chores, cooking, doing the laundry, and when I just want to sit and rest, they'll lock me up in the basement. As usual, with this baby body and the strength of a 5-year-old, I surely cannot complete the tasks faster.-)
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I slumped against the wall, exhaustion weighing heavy on my small shoulders. "I can't do this anymore," I whispered, my voice.
Maricopa
Maricopa's gaze bore into mine, her expression unreadable. "You know the consequences of disobedience," she said, her tone cold and unforgiving.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Tears welled up in my eyes as frustration and despair threatened to consume me. "I don't care anymore," I choked out, the words bitter on my tongue. "I'd rather die than continue living like this."
Maricopa
Maricopa's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Death is not an escape, child," she replied, her voice sending a chill down my spine. "But if that's what you truly desire, who am I to stand in your way?"
(-Maricopa's words hung in the air, chilling me to the bone. Was she serious? Would she truly allow me to end my own life?-)
(-Trembling, I pushed myself away from the wall and stumbled towards the staircase, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. As I reached the top step, Maricopa's hand shot out, grabbing my shoulder with a grip like iron.-)
Maricopa
"Where do you think you're going?" she hissed, her nails digging into my skin.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I flinched at the pain, but defiance burned within me. "I won't be your prisoner anymore," I spat, tears streaming down my cheeks. "I'd rather die on my own terms than continue living like this."
Maricopa
Maricopa's grip tightened, her eyes flashing with anger. "You foolish child," she growled, her voice low and dangerous. "Death is not the answer. You will obey me, or suffer the consequences."
(-One day, they ordered me to clean the emperor's chamber. My body shivers as flashbacks strike my mind, remembering the dreadful memories I had with the emperor as I begged them not to make me clean, but they threatened to lock me in the basement.-)
(-I couldn't hold back the tears any longer, my shoulders shaking with silent sobs as I scrubbed at the floor-).
