The Mafia Heir

"That's the car, you can go sit and wait for me, I've got something quick to do" Jade said pointing at a black B.M.W in the distance.

I gave her a puzzled look, yet obeyed nevertheless.

The teacher has assigned us as project-mates, and we decided to work on it at her place.

As I made my way to the car, butterflies exploded in my stomach, and a terrible gut feeling started to form...

What could possibly go wrong though..

Around 3 feet away from the car, the doors opened alone, revealing a luxurious interior.

No shit, I knew Jade was rich, but not filthy rich.

I sighed as I entered, unaware of a pair of eyes fixed at me.

"Are you ready?"

I snapped my head sidewards towards the origin of the sound.

The driver, wearing glasses in this stormy weather, was looking back at me from the rare view mirror.

"Um, yes, but what about Jade, are we going without her?" I asked, genuinely confused.

I shifted my attention from the old man to the window, desperately searching for Jade. What took her so long?

"My Lady, another car will come and take her with all your other friends later on, you don't have to worry, but we really have to get going so that we don't get stuck in traffic. We can't have Mr. Agreiter waiting any longer.."

He didn't even wait for my response. He simply fired the engine, and drove off.

I was panicking in full mode.

I spammed Jade with texts, but she couldn't bother to reply with anything more than "I'm sorry, but I really don't want to die-"

Die? Why the hell would she die?

Who is this man and where the heck is he taking me? What's going on?

It wasn't long before we arrived at our destination.

It was Jade's mansion.

As the car was entering the gates, I could see her parents with some men in the huge garden.

They were kneeling in front of some man. Couldn't see his face from my reference frame, but I could still tell that he looked unbothered.

A cigarette between his lips, peeling an apple with a dagger, gun loosely laying in his coat's pocket.

His dominant presence had a scary aura, one which would leave you alarmed.

As soon as the vehicle stopped, the driver hurried out, and bowed in front of that blood-curdling man. "We got her. She's in the car."

Suddenly, I got a message from Jade

"He's the heir of the strongest mafia in the world. He has been taking down a mafia after a mafia, and it would've been our turn if my father didn't offer me as a peace offering- But I don't want to die.. so please put on an act and fool them into thinking you are me.. I promise to send my men to save you as soon as he gets distracted."

She's bullshitting.

She won't send anyone to save me.

She just said that so I agree to her plan.

The terrifying man shifted his attention to the car.

I was sure he couldn't see me due to the black tinted glass, but his gaze still felt hot.

With trembling hands and a foggy brain, I decided to act on impulse.

I had to get out of the sticky situation that bitch put me into.

I jumped into the driver's seat, and turned on the car.

That idiot left the keys in.

I amused the terrifying man's shocked reaction for a second before I took a sharp turn and sped to the gates.

Unfortunately, he caught on directly and emptied his gun on the wheels.

His aim was spot on too-
