He never did put me down even once when he was supervising the knights in their training. And I must say, their training was really harsh.
"You need more strength in your arms, Timothy. Remember what I taught you," Mychaell said. His face was really serious.
Maybe he was still bothered from what I asked earlier. But I really want to know why. All I know is that the children living in those houses are our siblings, maybe I should ask Adela later.
I saw Butler Ben approaching us.
"1st young master, your fiancee is here," he said as he offered his arms to me to which I gladly took.
"Take care of her and don't take your eyes off of her," he said before leaving. His mood just went from sour to super sour. And the aura in his chest just turned to red. It was the first time for me to see a glow like that. Maybe it was rage or anger.
I snuggled in Ben's chest. Brother is getting scary.
"You must never mention the houses to the 1st young master. It always angers him. If you want to ask about those things, you can ask me or Adela but never your brothers. Alright, little one?" Butler Ben smiled.
I nodded.
"You should apologize later," he added.
"Can I go apologize now? I feel bad for making brother angry," I said. I really do feel bad. And besides, I also want to meet my beloved brother's fiancee. "Can I go meet his fiancee?"
I saw the hesitation in his face.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked as I tugged at him so he would put me down.
"Well, it would be alright, I suppose since the 1st young master is present," he said. "I will bring you to them."
We silently walked to the receiving room with me holding his hand tightly.
"1st young master, Lady Penelope is here to see you," Ben knocked.
There was a moment of silence before brother spoke.
"Let her in," he said.
As I entered the room, an angry lady was sitting on the sofa. I didn't like her aura. It was black. It was even darker than my mother's. I whimpered out of fear and ran to my brother. I don't want to go near her.
Mychaell quickly carried me in his arms.
"I assume you must know my little sister," he said to the lady. His voice was really cold and indifferent.
"Ahahaha! So, she's the little lecher that her mother sold?" the woman snickered.
She was so scary that I started to tear up. Seeing my reaction, my brother stood up with me in his right arm and he drew his sword with his left and pointed the sword towards her, slightly piercing her beautiful neck as it slowly bled.
"Don't think I will let you off easily, Lady Beatrice. You are talking to my sister, a Lady of the Arkanoth," he said. Brother's face was really scary. "You will apologize to her."
"Brother... it's alright. Let's just leave," I said as I buried my face in his shoulder.
Thankfully, he took his sword away and sheathed it back.
"I will send someone to send you back home. Don't bother coming back," Mychaell said as turned towards the door to leave. As I looked over my brother's soldier, I could see how black her aura was. It was scary, scary enough to give me nightmares.
I noticed that my brother's mood was already down the drain without any recovery. I was afraid he'd hate me so I hugged him tightly. I really do hope this works on him.
"I'm sorry, big brother. I won't ask any stupid questions anymore," I mumbled on his neck.
I heard him chuckle. A warm laugh. Did it work? I looked at the aura in his chest, it was a glowing yellow again.
"Don't ask me questions like that, alright? Especially your other brothers. They won't be too lenient on you," he said as he touched my nose.
I nodded in response.
"But... can I ask about that lady? She's scary," I said as I shuddered only thinking about her.
"She is scary," he laughed.
"Do you have to marry her, Mychaell? I don't like her," I pouted as I crossed my arms.
He laughed before putting me down. He knelt in front of me so we could see eye to eye.
"If you don't want me to marry, then I won't," he said.
"No, don't marry her. She's really scary," I cried as I hugged him.
He chuckled as he patted my head.
"Alright, big brother won't marry her. I'll make sure of it," he said as he looked up behind me. "It's my sister's nap time, take her to rest, Adela. I'll come see her again tonight."
"You'll leave again, Mychaell?" I asked as Adela picked me up.
"I'll be back before you wake up. Don't give poor Adela some trouble, alright?" he said as he kissed my forehead before turning back.
"Bye-bye," I said over Adela's shoulder.
