“Data heist? That’s a whole new level,” Jane muttered, her hands tightening around the steering wheel. "We need to stop them before they pull the trigger."
"According to the map," Yami said, holding up a series of locations they’d traced from the man’s cryptic answers, "The Hive’s tech specialist is based here, in an old industrial park on the outskirts of town. This is where the data's supposed to be stolen from."
Anya’s eyes narrowed, scanning the map. "It's heavily guarded. We’ll need to be careful."
“We’ll be careful, but we’ll also be quick,” Jane said, determination ringing in her voice. "This isn't just about the mission anymore. If we don’t stop them now, there could be catastrophic consequences."
The vehicle came to a screeching halt in front of a dilapidated industrial complex. The place was covered in layers of rust and grime, with crumbling concrete walls and broken windows. It looked abandoned, but Jane knew better. A place like this was perfect for The Hive to set up their operations—out of the public’s eye and beneath the radar.
“Ready?” Jane asked, her voice steady as she met the eyes of each member of her team.
“Born ready,” Yami said, a grim smile playing on his lips as he adjusted his gear.
"Let’s move," Jane ordered, as they exited the vehicle, the weight of their weapons shifting against their backs.
