Chapter 2: Lost and Found

Tara's heart raced as she hurried through the labyrinthine corridors of the university campus on her first day of college. The grandeur of the architecture was both awe-inspiring and bewildering, and despite her best efforts, she found herself hopelessly lost. She glanced at her watch and felt a pang of panic; she was already late for her first class.

As she dashed down another corridor, Tara collided with a passing student, who kindly pointed her in the right direction. Following his directions, she finally arrived at her classroom, breathless and flustered. The door creaked open, and all eyes turned to her.

Professor Krishnakant, a seasoned academic with a kind smile, stood at the front of the room. He didn't reprimand her for her tardiness; instead, he welcomed her with understanding eyes. "Welcome, We're glad you could join us. Why don't you introduce yourself to the class, Miss...?" the professor prompted, his voice gentle yet expectant.

Tara cleared her throat nervously before mustering the courage to speak. "Um, hi everyone. I'm Tara, and I'm... well, I guess I'm just trying to find my way around this place," she confessed, eliciting sympathetic nods from her classmates.Tara's cheeks flushed as she stammered through a brief introduction.

The room was packed with students, and she scanned for an empty seat. Only one remained, tucked away in the back corner where a young man slumbered peacefully.

Summoning her courage, Tara approached the sleeping student and gently nudged him awake. "Excuse me, could you please move over so I can sit?"

The boy stirred, annoyance evident in his expression. Without a word, he reached for his water bottle and poured its contents onto the seat beside him. Tara recoiled in shock as the liquid splattered onto the floor.

Before she could react, the boy rose from his seat and stormed out of the classroom, leaving Tara to face the mess he'd made.

But to her surprise, instead of berating her for the disturbance, the professor and several of her classmates rushed to her aid, helping her to mop up the mess and find a dry seat, they made room for her, offering reassuring smiles as she settled into her new spot.

Yet, as the class resumed, there lingered a palpable tension, a silent acknowledgment of Vicky's unacceptable behavior. It was the professor who finally addressed the elephant in the room, his voice carrying a note of authority tinged with disappointment.

"Vicky needs a good lesson for today's incident," he declared solemnly, his words a verdict that hung heavy in the air. "I'll inform his parents about his behavior."he remarked, his gaze lingering on the empty seat where the boy had once sat.

In a hushed whisper, Tara couldn't help but mutter to herself, "Vicky, definitely a weird guy."

Little did she know, this encounter would mark the beginning of a series of unexpected adventures and unlikely friendships that would shape her college experience in ways she could never have imagined.

And so, amidst the whirlwind of her first day, Tara found herself at the center of a narrative she had never anticipated. It was a lesson not only in navigating the complexities of college life but also in the resilience of the human spirit.
