Eder Olid: Get out of here!

Eder's half-whispered voice echoed louder than usual in Louis' ears. He reacted and ran back to his room, leaned against the door, and slid down to the floor.

Louis Olid: What are you doing? You... Got yourself a companion? Why didn't you tell me anything...

For a few minutes, Louis stood there still. Until he reacted and stood up again. Before the painting of his parents, he dedicated the rest of the night.

Driver Ralph was cleaning the car windows. When he saw his boss approaching.

Driver Ralph: Well, boy, slept in?

Louis Olid: I didn't sleep at all.

Driver Ralph: All that to avoid being late?

Louis Olid: No. I just want to get to the office soon. You know... today is my parents' tribute day, and I made this painting for them.

The driver saw the covered painting in Louis' hands.

Louis Olid: I need to do some touch-ups, so I'll do it at the office, before work starts. Can you help me put it in there carefully?

Driver Ralph: Of course.

The driver, very carefully, placed the painting inside the car.

Driver Ralph: I already know I can't speed today. So, you better keep me company. I'm imperative.

Louis Olid: Alright. So... Have you ever had a girlfriend?

Driver Ralph: I had many, boss. But when I was younger, cars always won over women for me.

Louis Olid: Is that why you never got married?

Driver Ralph: I didn't get married because when I truly fell in love, I had my love stolen from my hands.

Louis leaned forward and rested his hands on the driver's seat.

Eder took his car keys and went to the garage.

They both heard footsteps of the morning shift employees approaching.

Louis Olid: I have to go, I need to do some finishing touches on the painting.
