The name of the novel which i taught in my previous life as an English professor in college was "TALES OF HEART"

It's a perfect historical story between the crown prince Roderic Van Loren De Rosa of the ROSAREN EMPIRE and Lady Cherine Halstead, daughter of a wealthy marquess

The novel goes on like this.......the younger daughter of Marquess Halstead and a prostitute, the villainess in the novel is a greedy b!tch and loved to steal things from her elder sister who like any other kind lady gave her whatever she wanted

Cherine loved roderic and vice versa and valencia too fell in love with roderic.......knowing that cherine obviously won't give away her lover to her , valencia drugged roderic, slept with him and even conceived her baby

Later she threatened roderic with the baby hence they both got married but he never loved her nor she recieved the empress's title.......9 months later valencia gave birth to a beautiful babygirl thinking roderic will now love her instead he never even look at the baby

Both valencia and her daughter were labelled as abandoned........When her daughter became 2 years old a rumour spread outside that the crown prince will take lady cherine as his empress since she is pregnant and the baby is rumoured to be of roderic's and like any other villainess in anger and resentment Valencia poisoned cherine due to which cherine had a miscarriage

Roderic got to know that it was valencia who offered her the last tea and immediately imprisoned her and announced that she will be beheaded for killing the royal heir but due to her daughter will not be punished since she did nothing wrong
