Jungkook reached the Kim mansion and got out of his car. He was escorted inside by a guard as he has already called in the morning to tell about his arrival.

Jungkook walked inside and saw maids there. He removed his overcoat and hand it over to the maid who hung it on the coat shelf.

Jungkook

*pass her a box of sweets*

Where is my mother-in-law?

*takes the sweets* Madam is resting. He had been sick lately.

Jungkook

Hmm... Don't keep the sweets in the fridge for too long. It might ruin their taste.

The maid nodded and left. Jungkook sat on the sofa and looked around. The mansion was good, designed almost in an ancient way, but he didn't see any frame of Taehyung's photo.

There was just a big portrait of his father-in-law. Jungkook frowned.

Jungkook

'Not even a single portrait of Taehyung. They really want to keep him away from everyone's eyes..'

While In one silent room in the mansion. A beautiful omega laid on the bed, closing his eyes.

Just then, a maid entered. The Omega had only closed his eyes, He didn't slept.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

Min, Is Jungkook here? *opened his eyes*

Madam, You're awake? *walks towards him with a soft smile*

Is…Is Taehyung with him? *looked at her with anticipating eyes*

*sadly smiled a little and nodded a no*

The maid, Min noticed how Jade's expression got sad. She helped Jade to sit up and tried to cheer him up.

Madam, Your son-in-law is very considerate. He bought you sweets. *smiled*

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

But he didn't bring what I eagerly waited for. *mumbles*

Min heard him, and go sad. It's been three years, She's working in the mansion and she knows the whole history of this family.

Min helped Jade and placed a white silk shawl on his shoulders. Min then helped Jade go downstairs.

While downstairs, The son-in-law of the Kim's was looking around noticing everything.

But he froze when he saw his mother-in-law coming downstairs. For a second, Jungkook thought it was Taehyung.

Tanehyung took over his mother, but while Jade carried a elegant aura, Taehyung had a timid aura.

Jade saw Jungkook and smiled at him. He then sits down on the sofa in front of him. Jungkook stood up and bowed to him.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

Ah, No need. *smiles at him*

Jungkook

You seem sick, Mother-in-law.

Jungkook

How long have you been sick? You couldn't even attend the wedding due to your health…

Jungkook sounded a bit concerned while Jade smiles sadly.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

I have been sick from long… It must because of my old age.

Jungkook

'Old age?!'

Jungkook was really stunned. Jade looked he was not even a single day older than 30! Jade has maintained himself quite well through the years.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

Well, What brings you here, Son?

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

You're without Taehyung on your first visit here?

Jungkook

Mother-in-law, I'll be very straight forward. I want to know about Taehyung.

Jungkook said while Jade looked at him with mixed emotions on his face.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

H-How's Taehyung…?

Jungkook

He's pregnant-

Jungkook wasn't able to complete his sentence when they heard a loud voice. Jungkook turned his head and saw the maid earlier, Min bowing as tray of tea and snacks slipped from her hands.

Jungkook

*turned to Jade and looked at him*

Jungkook

'Something's fishy. They are surely hiding something..'

Jungkook

If you don't want to talk here about Taehyung. We can go to a room.

Jade (Taehyung's mother)

No such need, Everyone knows everything here. *chuckled sadly*
