It All Started When I Transmigrated With The Systems
Chapter 5: Hired
Miara rode in the carriage until it reached the front of the palace gate. As she stepped down, a guard approached and inquired about her purpose. Miara calmly paid the carriage fare and presented her acceptance letter. Satisfied with her credentials, the guard granted her entry and she was escorted by the Head Maid towards the inner palace.
Upon arrival at the inner palace, Miara noticed a group of new maids standing by the door, engaged in hushed conversations. Among them were individuals from noble backgrounds, some from commoner families, and others who had been brought to the palace through different circumstances.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
This is the inner palace, Be careful of what you do and what you see, If you break anything it will be taken off of your salary.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Do not open your mouth when you see something you shouldn't, Do not talk about the late princess or even mention her name if you have questions ask now.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Yes, You are...
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Miara, What do you want to ask?
Miara
What if someone have the same name as the late princess and shouted her name out loud? Would they be punished?
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Actually, that has never happened before because only the queen, the attending maids, the butler, and the doctors know the real princess's name. So, we don't know that yet. Still, be careful.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
The head maid smiles, her eyes carrying a warning.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Any more questions? No? Then let's continue.
They walked around the Palace.
Adelaide (Head Maid)

Adelaide (Head Maid)
That's also the place where the Empress gave birth to the late princess. It's called the Treasure Palace.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Only the Imperial family and selected maids are allowed to enter. If someone is found entering without permission, they will be expelled from the Palace.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
So don't make a wrong move and entered there.
After the tour and explanations, they made their way to the main building to receive their job assignments. The Head Maid then selected some maids to perform a cleaning shift in the bedrooms of the Imperial Family.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
You, Miara, and the five maids in the back will be responsible for the cleaning shift in the bedrooms. You will be changing shifts every day. I expect you to be punctual and prepared for your shifts. In case another maid is unable to make it to her shift, you will be on call to fill in. I don't want to hear any excuses if you're late for your next shift.
Adelaide (Head Maid)

Adelaide (Head Maid)
I have high expectations that you will clean the 3rd Prince's bedroom to be squeaky clean and spotless.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Good. For now, new maids like yourselves will assist with tasks in the kitchen, laundry, cleaning the hallway, and organizing items there and also observe with how things work here. That's all for now, let's get to work.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Everyone else can go, but Miara, stay.
Everyone left except Miara.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Miara.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Can you brew and serve tea?
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Miara, what kind of tea can you brew? And do you know the etiquette of brewing tea?
Miara
I can brew various types of tea, such as green tea, black tea, and herbal tea. As for the etiquette of brewing tea, I am familiar with the proper temperature and steeping times for each type of tea, as well as the appropriate serving rituals.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Okay, stop there for now. Come with me and show me how you brew and serve tea.
The Head Maid led the way to the kitchen and took a seat, observing Miara as she prepared the tea.
Miara carefully selected a teapot and began heating the water on the stove. She then measured out the appropriate amount of tea leaves and placed them in a teacup. With a gentle and steady hand, she poured the hot water into the teapot, allowing the tea leaves to steep and release their flavors. As the tea brewed, Miara gracefully set out a tea tray with delicate teacups and saucers. Finally, she poured the freshly brewed tea into the cups, presenting them to the Head Maid with a polite smile.
The Head Maid observed Miara's every move with a keen eye, noting her precision and attention to detail. As Miara presented the freshly brewed tea, She graciously accepted the cup and took a sip, savoring the aroma and flavor of the tea. Impressed by Miara's skill and professionalism, the Head Maid nodded approvingly, acknowledging her talent in the art of tea preparation.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
Not bad, Not bad at all. What is this tea called?
Miara
Madam, this is chamomile tea.
Miara
It is crafted from the dried flowers of the chamomile plant. It is renowned for its soothing and calming properties, promoting relaxation and aiding in sleep.
Miara

Miara
Additionally, chamomile tea is associated with potential health benefits, including aiding digestion and reducing inflammation.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
You know, Miara.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
You know a lot about tea, Have you ever think of serving the 3rd prince as his personal maid?
Miara
Well Madam, I'm still a new maid but If I do have a chance I'd love to.
Adelaide (Head Maid)
That's the spirit, You may go to work now.
