When The Sun Rises.
Sometimes I like to go back to the day, the day before everything changed, the day when I was still innocent, small and never hurt anyone. I regret the way I felt that day the way I didn't say goodbye to my parents the way I fought with my sister the night before never realizing that was gonna be my last. I was clueless immature and it tears me apart every day to think about it. I was pitiful, didn't bother to think about the dangers the future laid out for me that very day. It was 6:02 am in the morning my alarm just went off. I fought my way out of my deep sleep. That night I had a weird dream, a place where the word hell doesn't cover it, an eternal abyss one where nothing, no one can help you. In the dream, it was a dark place between space and time where you never stop falling. you continue down a long path of nothing. no noise. no life. not even your own screams can be heard. I stay this way for what seems to be forever. but suddenly a shadowy figure appears, with a smile as dark as a murderer, eyes as red as the down further and further until suddenly it stops, everything, stops you stop. flames burning in hell. He comes slowly picked me up like your nothing grinning an evil smile. he turns to you screams the screams of the dead never-ending as though he is hell himself. his screams echo launching you backwards continuing falling through that eternal abyss. you scream but not even yourself can hear your cries. it's as though you've lost all purpose to live, still falling until suddenly it stops. everything stops. you stop. I picked up my feet and slid them off the warm sheets onto the ice cold wood floors beneath me. My breath uneasy as my feet encounter the cold floors letting out a sharp breath in the surprise of the water on the floor and glass. It turns out that I had knocked over my water cup when I turned off my alarm in the morning. A tiny shard slid into my toe as if it was never there I pulled out and a small drop of blood came off onto my finger. I looked around my room the aura looked empty. I didn't have that much stuff, to begin with, but most of my clothes were in a giant duffle bag. “ Oh, right camping day” I mumbled. I walked down the stairs to the smell of eggs and bacon and the noise of moms piano filling up the room. My sister still ignoring me from the fight last night sitting across from me at the table. “How many?” dad asks with a big grin on his face. ¨one” I reply not bothering to return his smile. ¨come on brighten up, smile¨ he says back to me but this time with an offering smile.¨okay..”I begin saying, his smile grows in the result. “But I'm going to take that smile upstairs to my room along with my eggs and bacon.”. He steals a disapproving glance as I immediately say I'm kidding” in hope to not get in trouble. I slide into my chair and eat my food quietly. Though nothing is quiet when dads chipper. He can talk and talk all day when he's in a good mood. This is one of the side mom didn't like about dad. I take after my mom I enjoy music and quietness. But my sister Layla takes after dad, she is full of energy always happy. I finish first, I clean my dishes and go get ready for my friends. I'm in the middle of changing when I hear the doorbell. I rush downstairs ¨I'll get it¨ I say. I open the door and standing there are all five of my friends. There's Tina the girly one, Jane the adventurous one, Sakura the kind one, James the smart one and a jock then alan he's the one whos obsessed with martial arts. Only after I notice James’ eyes are focused elsewhere. I glance at them then down at myself to see I am only wearing my croc top. I run upstairs to get a shirt. As I walk up the creaky wood floors I overhear the tv posting an earthquake warning shocked I run upstairs to get my stuff and put on a shirt. I grab my duffle bag but as soon as entering the stairway the house shakes. A thundering noise comes from below. I race down the stairs trying not to get caught up in the smashing glass plummeting onto the ground due to the force of it falling. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain enter into my leg. I prepare myself in order to look down, the glass shard hit my leg at an angle where the glass shard jabbed into the muscle. I breathe in the pain as I tightly tie a bandana around it so no one will stop me from going on this trip. I've waited three months for this trip and no one was going to stop me. Suddenly as we open the door the cold breeze hits our faces as well as my wound. We sit at the bus stop on the icy bench when suddenly a screeching noise appears along with a loud longhorn. To our surprise, the bus’s breaks are broken suddenly crashing catching fire the blood-curdling screams of the bus driver and those within a memory never to be forgotten.
