Chapter 5: Family

After the blood transfusion was finished, I returned to my body. But I still had one thing bothering me, why did they even bother adopting Diana? why did they care if she stayed in the orphanage or not? There was nothing about this in her memories. Should I ask them?

I decided to asked Mr. Chu when he wakes up. After being placed in our own ward, I woke up and called the house phone at my house, Andrew must be worried sick about me.

But it seemed he wasn't, this was our conversation,"Hello, Andrew how are you, are you fine? Did you eat already?"," I'm fine.

There was meat in the fridge so I cooked the prime ribs","You don't seem to be worried about me?","Your already an adult and I can fend for myself, I have nothing to worry about","Okay, since you're fine then I'll hang up now, bye".

I never expected Andrew to be so independent, he is not the children I read in the textbooks.

I feel a connection between him, why is that? It couldn't be just because of Diana's miscarriage, it's different as if I known him for a long time.

Five minutes later Mrs. Chu entered the room. I pretended to be asleep because if I was awake she would just keep on nagging me. When I was "sleeping", Mr. Chu woke up.

He asked what happened and why I was here. Mrs. Chu told him what happened and told him that I "voluntarily" gave my blood. This woman is such a b*tch.

I wanted to drown her and feed her body to starving sharks. How dare she do this to Diana! Mr. Chu then asked her to get him some water. Mrs. Chu left the room.

After she left the room Mr. Chu said,"You can stop pretending, she left"."How did you know I was pretending?", I asked."I had a feeling. I was the one who took care of you since you were a child.

I can tell whether you're asleep or not just by your breathing". Mr. Chu is very observant."And thank you for saving me, I know you didn't do it voluntarily. You must hate me for taking away your succession of the company.", he added.

"Dad, Don't worry, as long as you're fine, I am happy" I said with a smile. I then asked him,"Although you are not my father, you still treated me well, Why?". He was shook and then asked,"How did you know?"."Dad, why did you adopt me?" I asked him.

"You're old enough to know the truth, I'm not your father, I'm your uncle. Your mother was my younger sister, she was r*ped by a man and got pregnant with you. Our parents told her to have an abortion but she refused.

She died giving birth to you but before dying she asked me to protect you, and so I did. I'm sorry I could not gove you a perfect life. I tried my best but still failed.", he started crying.

I don't know why but I was also crying. Was it because he was crying? was it because of Diana's memories? or was it because he reminded me of my father? I got up and embraced him I said, "Dad, thank you. Thank for giving me a family".

He then wiped his tears and started explaining to me why he took away my succession to the company. He said, "I over heard that Mr. Xang (the second largest shareholder) wanted to take over the company and I was afraid to get you caught up in trouble so I took away your succession.-

What happened to me was no accident, I believe it was planned. When I started struggling to breathe, so I asked my secretary to get me my pills but she never returned. I was found unconscious an hour later.-

That day there was an important board meeting but since I was not around Mr. Xang took my place. Until now my secretary's location is unknown. It is too big of a coincidence"

Indeed something fishy was going on but I am not anymore part of Chu company so there is no need for me to be bothered. I told dad that I needed to go home and told him yo be careful.

Before leaving the hospital, I went to the restroom. I could not help but start crying. Everytime I see Mr. Chu, I would remember my father. Even though we had a weird relationship, I still missed him so much.

I could remember the time when he taught me how to manifest objects with the use of spiritual energy and I made a ballroom gown and made him wore it. Mother and I laughed so hard that time, that was the only time I saw both of my parents smile.

No matter what I must hurry up and get my revenge and find the diamond so that I can see my parents again.

I then got a phone call from Zen Ind., so I picked it up. "Hello, is this Ms. Diana Chu?". "Yes, this is her", I answered.

"Congratulations, you have been chosen as the new secretary of Mr. Zen, come to Zen Ind tomorrow at 7:00 Am sharp, Mr. Zen doesn't like people being late, okay? bye! (hangs up)".

To be honest at first I forgot why Zen Ind. contacted me then it hit me, I applied to be a secretary, I totally forgot. I then headed home to tell Andrew the good news.

When I arrived home, I could smell the hotpot and prime ribs but when I openes the door there seemed to be a guest...
