Noor's New Family

Noor Jahan/Kartik - OH! What can go worse than being born in an inter religion marriage in colonial era. I was better off in emergency ward.

Iris - Oh my angel. You will soon meet you older brother. He will be really happy to see you, right Ram.

Ram - Yes dear, he will be overjoyed to have a baby sister.

Iris - Dan come and see you sister.

A blonde boy with black eyes peaked inside. He was around three. He came inside and saw the young Noor. He was really happy to have a little sister. Noor was surprised by there happiness on her birth. Her twin brother in her previous life never showed a liking towards her.

She started smiling. Her brother and parents were overwhelmed to see her smile.

She was happy to have a great family if it even means to be in a crucial era. She was determined to protect her new family with all her might with her knowledge of the future.

But now she was feeling sleepy and gradually slept in her mother's lap.

She dreamed of her past life as a respectful doctor. But she was hollow from inside. She lost her mother in a car accident and her father never cared about her and her brother. He also died soon after leaving her and her brother in the hands of her faith. Her brother was her only family. He also became financially independent at the age of 18. She was left alone in the end.

She woke up crying. Her mother was worried about what had happened to her. She checked if it was due to feaver or what. Seeing her mother worried expression Noor stopped crying. She slept peaceful in rest of the night.

The Next Day

Noor woke up and saw her parents packing up to move to another place. Her father was a doctor and was here for a campaign. Now they would go to there home. Her brother was happy to go back home after ten months of moving. She was surprised and understood that something was wrong.

Noor- No campaign in the world would be this long.

As she heard that it was 1885 she understood that it was Scarlet Fever.

Note - Scarlet fever spread during 1825-1885 it affected children between age of 5 to 15. It affected mostly England and Wales but for the story it is considered to be in India also. This term is only used for the purpose of story so accept my apologies if it offended you in any way.

As she heard that it was 1885 was worried that in 1895 plague will be a major concern in India. She was determined to help her new family.

After a long journey of four months she reached her new home in Bengal. It was a mansion. There she and her family were welcomed by her maternal grandparents. They lived with them after the death of the late mister and misses Rao. They were first not happy with their wedding but after four years they agreed as they understood that their happiness matters the most to them. They were over joyed to see there granddaughter. Her grandmother's name was Penny Smith she was a woman in her 60's with green eyes and blonde hair and her grandfather's name was James Smith he had blue eyes and brown hair. They both were really happy to see her parents and them safe and sound. seems like now Noor Jahan has a great family to protect. How she will protect her family from diseases and more importantly from the uprising national movement. And will she change the history and create her own history for her new life. Let's see how it all turns out.
