Rosslyn POV

Though, We were staying in one house, I rarely saw him there not to mention he sleeps and eats separately. It still feels as lonely as living alone, and even worse because I know he is somewhere near, but still I am alone.

I avoided most of his existence though I remember my plan, but something has changed between us since the day he touched me. I felt him always maintaining distance between us as I'm some filth on the road.

I haven't heard anything regarding his girlfriend, nor had he mentioned her, Although I wanted nothing but to question him regarding what his brother said that night in the gathering was true or not. However, I don't have any rights to ask him in the first place

He considers me a mistake, a mistake from his past and I will never stoop so low to ask him if he has a girlfriend or was he cheating on me while I was waiting for him alone. In fact, when I told this to Marilyn on a phone call, she simply said it was better if he had a fling. It'd be easy for me to get away from this marriage but then again, Why am I not happy?

Why was the fact that he has a girlfriend is so indigestible to me? I hate having expectations from anyone. I gave up on such nonsense a long time ago. No one in this world can keep you as happy as you can keep yourself. Stop getting falso hope, Rosslyn!
