The Castle Ghost The Shadow

After a long day, they decided to go back. They were sitting inside a jeep. Kevin was just looking outside the window. He was tired. But then again, he felt like someone was watching him. He would see a shadow, of a man, behind the trees and bushes. Then he felt scared because he heard those whispers. 𝓘 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓪𝓲𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓼𝓸 𝓵𝓸𝓷𝓰.... 𝓶𝔂 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮... 𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓯𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮... 𝓜𝔂 𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓾𝓵, 𝓓𝓪𝓿𝓲𝓭... 𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓻𝓮𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷.... Every time he hears these whispers, he feels shivers down his spine. 𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑑𝑜 𝐼 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑒!? 𝐼 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒, 𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑎 𝑔ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑡. 𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑦, 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠. 𝑊ℎ𝑦?! Kevin looked calm from outside, but he was screaming from inside, in his mind.

After an hour he was home. Kevin walked in, and threw his bag on the couch and he locked the door. He sat on the couch. He sighed and closed his eyes. But then again. 𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻 𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮, 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮... 𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓹𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓮... This time Kevin felt confused and scared. 𝑃𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒? 𝐼𝑠 𝑖𝑡 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑒? 𝐷𝑖𝑑 𝐼 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒? 𝐵𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑡. He sighed again and went to take a bath. He took off his clothes and dipped his body in the warm water in the tub. He relaxed himself.

I am just over thinking.

He smiled. Then he washed himself. He came out of the tub after an hour and wiped his body with the dry towel. He stood in front of the mirror with the thought of brushing, but he saw something which horrified him. He saw a shadow, of man, that shadow, his face wasn't clear, but Kevin could tell, he was smiling. He looked back immediately but he saw no one.

He laughed. He patted on his heart which was now beating very fast, so fast and loud that Kevin could feel his own heartbeat. He took beep breaths. He again looked in a mirror, he saw nothing. He then brushed his teeth as he looked around the bathroom from time to time. Especially the place where he saw the shadow. After brushing, he wore his clothes and laid on the bed. He closed his eyes, but every time he closed his eyes, he would see that shadow.

I can't sleep.

He was also feeling scared. He got down from the bed and turned on the lights. He went to the living room and turned on the TV as he sat on the couch. His mind got diverted by the TV which was a good thing.

The next day. Kevin had to go to the site again. He again went to the castle. It's just he feels hesitant to go there because of what he hears and sees there. He took a deep breath and entered the castle with other team members. 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯? 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦? 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵... He unlocked another door in the castle. It was a dining hall. It had a long table, two chandeliers and candleholders. Around ten chairs were there. Some plates were broken and some were on the table.
