As the world was struggling to go back to its thriving position, god saw the humans and pitied them. He could not do much because it was the result of their own deeds. But he blessed them with a power called 'mana'. Every human was blessed with mana, some with a high mana and some with low mana. 'Mana' was used to built back houses, stables, land, and castles. The humans with high mana are very rare and they almost went extinct when the Empires came to life. They say, some say they went into hiding and some say they went extinct where neither one is true.

Why has it have to be me, father?! I don't want to get married with anyone ever! And can't it be brother Daniel?! He's the oldest!
Calix
Yuki, you know he can't get married with a boy and he already has a lover. His lover is a boy too but they it can work out as long as they don't get married.

This is just not fair..
Yuki looked down and ran away crying.

I will go after her, Calix. Don't worry, I know she'll understand after ranting to me. *smiles*

Ah, then I will leave it to you... Cecilia. Please try to make her understand.
Cecilia nods and walks away to where Yuki went. She soon arrives in the garden where she hears little sobs and whimpers through the bushes.
Cecilia finds Yuki crouched down and timidly hiding her face in her knees while crying. Cecilia too crouches to Yuki's height and pats her head.

My dear, you know your father dearly cares for you and isn't using you, right? He just wants the awful past to repeat again and strengthen the East's ties with the North's.
Yuki
*Sobs* I...I know, Cici! But, why do I have to always listen to father?! I have a heart and mind of my own and I don't want to enter a loveless marriage with an abusive man!!
Cici
*Laughs* Abusive? Who told you your fiancé is abusive, dear? You've been just reading too much fictional novels... he's the crown prince and I am sure he will love you dearly since you're the sweetest and kindest soul I know.

Will it... really not be that bad? But, I have to leave my family and go live with someone who doesn't even love me... I don't trust men, they break hearts so easily and take everything for granted.

I cannot guarantee that it will be easy... but I am pretty sure he will fall in love with you pretty quickly since you're so GORGEOUS, sweetheart!

*Giggles* Oh, shut up... Cici!
Both of them burst out laughing and Cecilia kisses her forehead and hugs her.
Yuki opens the door and peeks, making Calix look at her.

Oh, yes, darling. Are you alright?

*Sigh* Listen, Yuki... I know I may not be the best at expressing my feelings. I am sorry I am forcing you to do this and I won't push it if you don't want to marry-

No, honey, you really don't have to. I love you and I don't want you to be hurt because of me. I have already been burdening you so much...

Father, you're not a burden. I got childish and stubborn but I know you truly care for me and only want to best for me. I can't rely on you forever and I must go in the outside world. It's time for me to grow up.
