In the novel Elaina was a weak and fragile Noble lady like any other noble lady. And looking at her coming in the training grounds was a surprise for the knights since noble ladies never visit the training grounds as they thought it wasn't needed.

All noble ladies prefer buying jewelries and dresses while going on tea parties but suddenly Elaina's visit on training grounds surprised the knights.
