Santiago couldn't believe it, they had been the happiest and most peaceful ten years of his life, but deep down in his heart there had always been that unbearable emptiness that his beloved Camila had left. When after three years of dating she left him standing at the altar.

Camila showed him some tests, which showed that she could hardly get pregnant and told him that she didn't want to tie him to an infertile woman like her, because she loved him too much. Santiago felt a void in his chest. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, he had his loyal wife with his eight children and on the other hand, the love of his life with a new baby growing in her womb and to make matters worse, the doctor told him that the pregnancy was high risk, which boiled down to Camila not being able to have strong emotions and having to be on absolute bed rest.
Camila continued crying until the doctor came with the discharge order, the doctor advised Santiago to take care of Camila's emotional state if he wanted her to carry her pregnancy to term.
"All right, doctor, I will," Santiago replied despondently.
Camila smiled inwardly and went out in a wheelchair, pushed by her husband to the car. Santiago listened to her all the way crying and complaining that he was going to leave her alone, that he knew that she and their daughter were at the bottom of his list of priorities, that he regretted them and that he saw them as a mistake and many other complaints. That at that moment he only wanted to wake up in his house, hug, kiss his wife and realize that this whole Camila thing had been a horrible nightmare.
Santiago needed to breathe so he informed his wife that he would be going away for two months and would use this time to resolve this matter in the best possible way.
Santiago loved Camila, but he was not used to complaints or demands.
Genoveva was a capable woman, she took care of her children, kept her house in order, so that when her husband came home from work, he would only enjoy the kisses and hugs of his little ones, until they went to sleep, to start the passionate nights with his wife.

It had been more than an hour since Santiago had left his house. That warm and harmonious home, where he had been happy for so many years. He had broken his wife's heart.
