Episode 4

Nathan

I was so angry at that damn girl, the wretched one; I did everything for her, even got her a new car, jewelry, trips, the con artist from hell.......

I ended up punching the wall before we got into the elevator, and then I realized the girl was crying. What the hell! I hate seeing a woman cry, but I can't help it; with her, it's different. Why now??? Damn, and she's beautiful! What a doll, what a lovely face, that mouth.......

I just got cheated on big time and I'm staring at the beauty of this girl, but she doesn't make it easy, such a gorgeous woman..... what is happening???

Damn it!! Nathan, do something, you idiot....

Nathan – Please, don’t cry.

Afrodite, crying and upset – Let me cry; I’m so angry at myself! How could I be so stupid!!!

Nathan – Hey, if that’s the case, then I must be, too.

Afrodite – Of course you are; we were both fooled, betrayed, and we’re both suckers!

Nathan – How sweet you are, and please don’t use that word; it irritates me.

Afrodite – Sucker?

Nathan – Stop saying that crap.

Afrodite – But we are both suckers.

The elevator arrives, and they step out.

Nathan – Sorry, I’m Nathan Kots, but I believe you know who I am.

Afrodite, thinking: Besides being a sucker, I don’t know... maybe an actor.

Afrodite – I’m Afrodite, Pinehead.

Nathan, laughing – You can still make jokes?

Afrodite – I don’t know you. Sorry, I don’t watch many movies and—

Nathan – I’m not an actor; I’m a businessman... never mind.

Nathan, thinking: She doesn’t know who I am? Interesting...

Afrodite – My God, damn it! I need to get my car; I left it in the garage, and I’m out of control!

I’ll go after the doorman to see if he can help me.

Nathan

I saw that everything was locked; I think the gentleman had already left.

Nathan – I think the doorman has already gone.

Afrodite – I’ll go to the garage, and when someone comes out, I’ll just slip away with them.

My car is still there, and I have no control; I came in with some neighbor of that jerk or that dead guy.

Nathan, thinking: Why do I care about her? I don’t even know her...

Nathan – How about a drink?

Afrodite – For what? To celebrate our misfortunes?

Nathan bursts out laughing again – No! To forget all this crap; then I’ll take you home if you want.

Afrodite – Three things:

First, I don’t live here in San Diego; I’m from Santee. Second, the key to my house is in my car. And third, how are you going to take me if you’ll be drunk?

Nathan – Makes sense, so let’s just drink then decide what to do.

Afrodite, thinking: I’ve never seen him and you know what? I’m so angry, I’ve always been very proper, the good girl, never did anything wrong, and look what I got??? .....I’ll accept; I think about killing myself, he won’t do anything bad, although I’m so mad I don’t even want to think.

Afrodite – I’m in.

Nathan – Then let’s go.

Afrodite – Let’s go.

Afrodite

He stops in front of one of those cars that look so fancy, it’s almost a shame to even get in.

Nathan

I saw her look at the car, and it seemed like she liked it.

Afrodite – Wow, what an amazing car; will I be able to get in?

Nathan – Why not?

Afrodite – With how messed up everything is, Nathan.

Nathan, laughing – Do you have a preference for a place?

Afrodite – Somewhere with drinks and without anyone I know.

Nathan – True, it’d be even worse if we run into someone we know.

Afrodite – You know, I don’t even know you, and I hope you don’t kill me or kidnap me... Anyway, I’ve always been pretty proper, but this will be my first drunken night; I’ve never done that!

Nathan, smiling – Seriously?

Afrodite – Yes, help me feel even more stupid.

Nathan – No! I actually think it’s quite different, interesting, nice.

Afrodite – You’re backtracking, Nathan.

Nathan – Okay, but if you’re going to have your first drunken night with me, we have to do it right; we deserve it

because we’ve both been fooled.

Afrodite – We’re suckers, Nathan.

Nathan – I hate that word, and I already know; let’s go to Vegas!

Afrodite – Are you crazy? That’s far away.

Nathan, smiling and pulling out his phone – We’re not going by car; we’re going by private jet, my friend.

Afrodite – I’ve never been to Las Vegas.

Nathan – All the more reason to go then, and not to mention that there, no one knows anyone! And we can drink a lot!!!!

Afrodite

He calls what I believe is the pilot and asks him to get everything ready; we’re heading straight to the airport.

From the looks of it, he has a lot of power and money.

His cell phone was connected to the car's sound system, and names of several guys who had called him multiple times flashed on the screen, none of which he answered. I did the same with my friends. I believe that like him, we didn't want to say anything; it's not easy to admit that we’re being cheated on...
