Don’t Leave Me Part 2

Star went into her room and laid on the bed staring at the wall. Star thought to herself, it’s not like it’s my first time being setup by them. This happens every other day, I’ve become use to it. Star slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.

As Star became older, the tricks that Isabel and the twins would play on Star became worst. When Star turned 16, a war broke out between Ezra and Callista. With Davis being busy most of the time with his duties as the top General of the Royal Protectors, recently his days and time at home became less and less. When he had a break, he would contact Star using Hologram communication and ask about her day. Since Star seems to be becoming more distant from everyone in the house, including him, he wanted to spend more time with her, so he would only contact her and no one else during his breaks at work. This of course upset Isabel more and caused more trouble for Star.

On the twins birthday everyone in the house became very lively and the house was filled with the smell of food. Because Star never participate in the twins birthday, Star was in her room reading. Star placed a protection spell around her room, so that she can block out the noise and celebration outside. Although the twins did everything they could to prevent Star from making friends at school, Star still had 4 friends she could count on. Today they decided to have a hologram fan girl session at 6PM about their favorite book “Poison in the Sky”. This book was about a man who could predict the future using the stars in the sky. Star had one more chapter to complete with 3 hours left before the session. The chapters each had 50 pages, so Star threw herself into the book and blocked everything else out.

Star: Author, you are amazing! This was the best one yet of the series. I couldn’t guess what was going to happen next, how exciting! I only had one problem with it! Why did you have to kill my favorite character? He was so caring, handsome and outstanding! Plus the he had silver hair! RIP my love*sigh* I lost my book husband and no one will be able to replace him!

Boom!!! Star looked up in a panic. The door to her room had been blown off. Damn it! I was so distracted by the book, that I didn’t sense that someone touched my protection barrier. Since it was a level 1 barrier, it’s not meant to keep someone out, just block out sound and alert the user when someone is near.

Daisy: Star, you b****! Why do you always ruin things that’s important to us!

Darren: It’s our birthday today and you couldn’t just let us enjoy!

Star: (Rolls her eyes) I was wondering when tweedledum and tweedle dumber was going to show up!

Daisy: What did you say! You dare call us dumb?

Isabel: Calm down Daisy, you’ll strain your voice and won’t be able to sing at the Gala tomorrow!

Star: That would be a gift to the people at the Gala! Your voice sounds worse than nails on a chalkboard.

Daisy: You....

Isabel: Calm down, your voice is beautiful, jealous people only criticize people with talent because they have none.

Star: Hahah...People with talent...where?

Davis: That’s enough!

Star: Of course! I should have know you were here! They have to make sure you are here to witness their scheme!

Isabel: How can you refer to your father as “you” and not greet him properly?

Star: Hello Dad. What will the punishment be today?

Davis: Why do you feel that you will be punished? Did you do something that you shouldn’t have?

Star: Of course not, but it’s always my word against theirs and you always side with them in the end. So why should I waste my breath, just punish me and leave me alone already.

Isabel: That’s no way to talk to your father!

Star: Fine! Then I won’t talk at all! I already know the punishment anyway. Of course that evil woman want to make it so I don’t go to the Gala tomorrow, what other reason could there be.

Davis: Did you destroy all the twins gifts while everyone was outside watching the entertainers?

Star: (Looks directly at Davis and says nothing) ....

Davis: Answer me

Star: ( Why answer when I’m sure the maid, the cook, the driver, the butler or some idiot will step up and say they witness me do it.)

“Excuse me”

Just as Star had that thought, there was a deep voice that sounded from behind Daisy. Behind Daisy stood a teen about 6’0 with dimples on both side of his face that appeared even when he wasn’t smiling, slim figure and short silver hair. He gave off the appearance of a well behaved and thoughtful teen. Star recognized him instantly, this is the person that she had a crush on since elementary. He was always nice to her and always came to her defense when the twins made trouble for her.

Star: (Why is he here)

Calvin: I apologize for interrupting, but I did see Star go into the area with the presents when I came in to use the restroom. I didn’t see anything wrong with it at the time, because she lives here and I didn’t think that she would do something so horrible. Star I always defended you at school when people said you did things, but I guess I was wrong. I’m sorry Daisy and Darren for placing the blame on you at school. Star, how can you be such a vile person?

Star stared at Calvin in shock! I never thought that he would be apart of the twins scheme, how hateful! I understand now.

Although he always came to Star’s defense, he never stopped them from causing more problems and he always stepped in at the last minute, after Star had been completely humiliated.

Star: How could I’ve been so blind to believe you were on my side and that you cared about me?

Calvin: I truly cared for you and wanted to protect you as much as I could, but I finally see the real you. For now on, I will make sure you don’t cause any more trouble at school for Daisy and Darren and protect my real friends.

Star: Protect me, you called that protecting me, why didn’t I see it sooner? You would always stand there while they attacked me and after they vented their anger, you would step in at the last minute and stop them. You use to say that you were worried about offending our Dad by going against Daisy, because you were arranged to be married to her when you got older and already offended Dad by trying to refuse the marriage proposal when you turned 12.

Calvin: Why are you saying these lies? I have always been happy that I was going to become the husband of the most beautiful girl in school. (Grabs Daisy’s hand) I’m truly in love with her.

Star: I always thought that someone with silver hair could never be evil, turns out I read to many fairytale novels. Just because you were kind to me I fell for you, how naive! Evil is always good at hiding itself in novels and in real life.

Daisy: (Fake tears) How could you admit to having feelings for the person I’m going to marry! Is that why you always give me such a hard time. How evil!

Darren: You shouldn’t dream of things that belong to other people. Besides, he is out of your reach.

Calvin: I feel sorry for Prince Marcel, he is really a good person and deserves someone better. Why did he have to be born on the same day as you.

Isabel: I really think that you should break the engagement Davis, you heard it yourself, Star is in love with someone else and refuse to even meet the Prince.

Davis: I’ve heard enough. The decision for Star and Marcel’s engagement is not for any of you to discuss! If you bring it up again, there will be a punishment. Star, I’m afraid that you won’t be able to go to the Gala tomorrow. Stay home and think about your actions.

Star: Can you all leave now, I’m terrified of snakes and having so many in one room is making me uncomfortable.

Isabel: How dare you call...

Davis: That’s enough! Everyone out! Star I understand...

Star: You understand what? You listen and believe every word that they say. Why bother acting like you care? Why don’t you save yourself the trouble and just send me to Exiled like you did my mother?

Davis: Star!

Star: What? You thought I didn’t know that you just let them take her away without trying to save her? You’re doing the same to me! You let them constantly call me evil or a criminal, but you never once came to my defense. The only reason you keep me around is because of the engagement to the Prince! Since you care so much about the engagement, why don’t you just let your pride and joy Daisy marry him!

Davis: Star, that’s not fair. How can you say that?

Star: Fair? Life has never been fair for me! I live in a house full of people who would love to see me dead! Just go away and spend time with your family. I just don’t care anymore.

Davis: Star

Isabel: Dear, Marcel and the King is here to discuss the Gala, hurry and come downstairs.

Davis: We’ll talk about this later! Get dressed and come downstairs, the King wants you to meet Marcel today, he will be attending your school starting next week.

Davis walks out of the room and close the door.

Star: There’s no way that I’m going downstairs and meeting another friend of the twins. Marcel hangs out with the same snakes, so I’m pretty sure he is just as venomous.

Stars hologram receiver pops up with a request.

Star: I forgot, it’s pass 6 o’clock.

Star accepts the incoming hologram. Kate, Aaron, Tabitha and Ruth appear in the room.

Tabitha: Are you ok? I feel a strong sense of pain and loss coming from you? What happened?

Ruth: Yeah, I kept getting visions of Calvin with snake eyes looking at you. I wish these vision could just says what they mean, ugh so frustrating!

Aaron: Your thoughts are also really violent. Why do you keep thinking of putting people on a kabob and spinning them over a large fire pit! That’s really not normal Star.

Star: Stop reading my mind!

Aaron: If I knew how to I really would. Sometimes it shows images along with the thoughts....I really don’t want to see them!

Kate: Hahaha! I’ve never been happier to only have the skill of invisibility! So scary!

Star: Can you guys meet me somewhere right now? I’ll explain everything when I get there.

Aaron: I have to help my dad with some clients in 20 minutes, but it shouldn’t take that long. How about we meet at 8:00?

Ruth: Cool with me.

Tabitha: Works for me!

Star: 8 it is. I’m going to take a nap, my eyes hurt from binge reading.

The hologram connection ended. Star laid down and closed her eyes. Soon Star fell into a deep sleep, when she opened her eyes, all she could see is the vibrant color of water. Suddenly a shadow passed by her, as soon as she turned around to see what it was, she came face to face with familiar sad eyes staring at her.

Star: Mom!

Suddenly her vision became blurry and she couldn’t make out her mom’s face anymore!

Star: Mom!

Suddenly the color in the water began to drain away and all Star saw was grey. The person in front of her started to struggle as if they were in a lot of pain! Star tried to reach out to her mother, but it seemed the more she reached out, the further away her mother drifted!

Star: Mom, please don’t leave me!
