Breath of Stars🌟
The Breath of Stars (星ほしの呼こ吸きゅう, Hoshi no Kokyū?) is a breath style that is not a descendant of the Dance of the Fire God, aka the Breath of the Sun, or any of Dance of the Fire God's derivatives.
In stark contrast to the Breath of Sun, which was preserved as a kagura named the Dance of the Fire God, the Breath of Stars was derived from a kagura named the "Dance of the Starry Night". Consequently, while both the Breath of Stars and the Breath of Sun have been lost to history, the Breath of Stars has been lost for good as its breathing has been preserved but its forms. have not been
The Breath of Stars originates from the Seiya Kagura (星夜神楽かぐら, Seiya Kagura?, lit. Dance of the Starry Night). The core of the Dance of the Starry Night is the decrease of carbon dioxide through a combination of maximizing the amount of carbon dioxide that one exhales and minimizing the amount of carbon dioxide that one inhales. Notably, because hemoglobin that is carrying less carbon dioxide is hemoglobin that is carrying more oxygen, decreasing carbon dioxide will increase oxygen.
However, in addition to the decrease of carbon dioxide, the Dance of the Starry Night also allows the manipulation of the carbon dioxide within the bloodstream. Notably, it's an abundance of carbon dioxide which expands one's capillaries and hastens one's blood flow. Not an abundance of oxygen. As such, the manipulation of the bloodstream's carbon dioxide allows capillaries to be expanded at-will and thus allows the blood flow to be hastened at-will.
With practice, a Dance of the Starry Night-user can hasten the flow of their blood while increasing the amount of oxygen being carried by their blood. By doing so, a Breath o the Stars-user can augment both their athleticism and the effectiveness of Dance of the Fire God-based breath styles as well!
