Chapter-1: Death and Regrets

Suddenly, the sky started getting grey, heavy raindrops started falling upon the road, and the wind was blowing very strong. People started running here and there in search of a place to hide. In the empire, for the first time such strong winds are blowing, and there is such heavy rain.

In the small house, two elderly people were talking to each other looking outside the window of their house. 

"Today it's raining so hard it looks like god is very angry, and he is punishing people for doing something wrong".

After hearing the words of their grandfather, the two children were so scared they hid inside their blankets.

See their kids getting scared by their grandfather's words. The parents of the kids asked their, father and mother not to talk about this nonsense in front of their kids because they were so scared.

"Okay, okay, we will not talk about these things now, but who knows what is going to happen today?

"Sigh, Such bad weather."

Many people have different opinions about this heavy weather, some enjoy it with their family, while others are thinking about this unusual weather and what is going to happen.

Outside the Duke's villa, heavy raindrops were falling upon the rose petals, and strong winds made some roses fall on the ground. 

Inside the villa, the sound of people talking to each other can be heard. At the center of the room, a girl was lying on the bed, and she was looking at the window where those heavy raindrops were falling upon the glass window. 

The girl who was lying on the bed was thinking about those memories. She once was in this house when her parents were still alive.

Who has thought that this girl was once a Proud, noble, and powerful daughter of the former Duke of the empire and she was also once master of this house after her parent's death?

She was thinking about the day when she and her mother and father planted those roses together. That day, she was so happy.

"I am Rose Smith, and now I am dying."

"Mom, Dad, I am coming to meet you guys and also Alexa Baker, my best friend. Oh,  no! No! No! I can't meet you guys because you all were in heaven and I am going to hell. "

She suddenly turned her head and looked in the direction of the door where the sound of a very familiar man was coming, even though she could not see. She knows whose voice is this. James Williams, the person who I loved most in this world and the only person who caused all her suffering.

"Now, I am dying; you feeling happy, then what does that look on your face mean, James."

"I loved you so much and tried so hard to make you fall in love with me, but you never loved me."

"I never understand why you love Alexa so much that you never look at me even once. When she is dead, you cry for her so much; will you cry for me when I am dead?"

"No, he won't cry for me because he doesn't love me at all."

"You always blame me for Alexa's death and torture me so much for seven years, seperate me from my children's. I don't even get to see their faces. "

"Nobody believes me even though I told them a thousand times that I didn't kill her. She was my only best friend after my cousin Julia Harris. But,  it doesn't matter now.

"I was thinking, if I ever get a chance to meet you, Alexa, after my death, I will say sorry to you for not finding your killer."

"Sigh, My hellish life is finally getting over."

The girl was waiting at her bed for her death so calmly, people around here were all shocked to see this.

Then, a maid calls someone's name, and everyone starts greeting that girl. That girl was none other than Julia Harris, Rose's cousin sister.

"Sister, I heard you were dying; I came running from my trip  to see you."

"You can't imagine how horrified I was. When I found you were dying." 

"Sister, please say something to me. Don't stay quiet?"

Seen Rose was not saying something, Julia went to the doctor to ask why her sister was not saying something, and the doctor told her that Rose was too weak to talk to anyone this time. 

Julia went to James and asked him if he asked other doctors to come and check on her sister. James said that he already brought all the best doctors of the empire to Duke Villa, but everyone gave him the same answer.  

Then, the head maid Mrs. Helena Sadler, came and told Julia that James had not eaten anything for two days and he almost fainted a few minutes ago. She requested Julia to request James to take some rest.

" James, please take some rest and eat something, or you will not be able to take care of your sister like this." 

"I know my limits, Julia. Don't worry about me. I have to take care of Rose and make sure she doesn't die like this. "

"James, she is my sister and I also care about her. I also don't want her to die like this. But,  for this reason, you can't risk your life, too."

"Please, go, James. I am here, and I will take care of my sister; if anything happens, I will call you."

"Please, go and rest."

"Mrs. Helena Sadler said to James, "Yes,  your majesty, Miss Harris was right".

"Please make Your Majesty, eat something, and have a little bit of rest."

"But, what if I leave and something happens to her."

"No, but, James, just go and eat something and have a rest." 

"I am here," said Julia to James.

"Ok, I will go, but please take care of her for me, Julia."

"Ok! James."

When James Williams went out of the room, Julia asked the other servants to leave them and wait outside the room; she wanted to spend time with her sister alone.

Julia's site is next to Rose

"Sis, I heard you can't speak now because your body has become very weak and you have problems breathing also."

"But, can you hear me right" 

Rose wanted to speak, but her head was hurting so much. She was feeling pain in her heart, too, and her entire body was hurting. She was also having breathing problems, so she managed to shake her head, letting Julia know she could hear her.

"Then, listen to my sister. I have something to tell you. "

Her entire face changed, and her eyes, when cold and disgusting, were only seen in her eyes. For the first time in Rose's entire life, she sees her cousin's sister Julia like this. She was scared to look at her face.

"You are finally dying, why are you so shocked seeing my face like this?" Julia said in a cold voice.

Rose was so shocked.

"Sister, you know your father's death was not an accident; my father killed him. haha."

"And your mother never cheated your father in her marriage, it was my mother  and  Alexa's mother who framed her and your mother committed suicide after her reputation was ruined by us"

"Ha ha ha," Julia laughed in a very cold voice.

Rose was shocked and surprised to know about her parents death. She was trembling with anger to kill Julia after knowing the truth, but she couldn't move at all.

"If you think this stops here, let me tell you more.

"you know my father was your father's distant relative, right? But in reality, your father and my father were half-brothers."

"My grandmother once drugged your grandfather in the hope that he would seduce your grandfather and become his wife after kicking your grandmother out of the Duke Villa. But, she failed, and  your grandfather forced her to leave the capital and live her entire life in the countryside, and she never came back to the capital."

When she was abandoned to the countryside, she found she was pregnant; she lost her only chance to steal the title of Duchess."

"But god has another plan. A few days later, she met your grandfather's cousin brothers who ran away from the Smith family to explore the new world and were not rich and powerful like your grandfather because he ran away from home. But, my grandmother was pregnant, so she seduced him married that man, and gave birth to my father. A few years later, she killed her husband in fear that he would find out about the truth: the child was not his."

"We planned this revenge for so many years; why do you guys live with all the wealth and power while we live a poor life? We also inherited the Smith family blood, but because of our stupid grandfather, who didn't have a face to come to the Smith family after running away from home, we suffered so much.

"So we went to your house and told you guys we are your distant relatives and told you guys about our miserable life.  Your parents were so kind they took us in and there we started to take all things away from you guys."

"We killed your parents and changed their will and inherited all of their wealth and ruined your life too."

"Now you are dying. Finally, we win."

"Everything belongs to us only now, Smith's name and their entire wealth, everything."

"Hahaha "

Rose's heart was hurting after listening to so many things.

"And one more thing sister, you know the person who killed Alexa was me."

"You killed Alexa, but why? Rose wants to ask but she can't say anything."

Seeing Rose's face full of questions about why she killed Alexa.

Julia said, "As you know, Alexa was my aunt 's and uncle's daughter, and they also came with us to live at your house, and  we all worked together to take everything from you guys."

"Yes, Alexa was also with us in every plan and it's her parents also helped us in killing you parents." 

"Sister, you remember the day when the former emperor invited your family for dinner at the palace, there you first met James and fell in love with him, that time you were five years old, and the former emperor was happy to see you, and he liked you so much. He told your parents that  when you turn eight years old, he will hold a party and announce to the entire world that you will be the next crown Princess and future empress of the empire."

"We also got the news from Mrs. Helena Sadler that three years later you will formally announce a crown Princess and future empress of the empire."

"After  hearing this news, Alexa and I were so jealous of you, and we started hating you even more, especially me, who also contains Smith's bloodline in my body."

Then she picked a pillow near Rose's head and put it on her face and she started choking her. 

" We win now, and everything belongs to us."

"James now belongs to me only."

"Only....me"

"Hahaha..'

"I win..."

"Everything belongs to me"

"Hahaha "

Due to no strength left in her body, Rose is still trying to fight back, but she can't do that because her body is too weak to resist anything. She let go.  Her eyes slowly get closed and the voice of Julia's laughter starts fading. 

Everything she suffered was caused by the people she trusted the most in her entire life after her parent's death.
