I'm Not Dumb Like Her
Rudra stared out the window trying to imagine what the night would look like. She felt so lonely at her huge house. She envied the happy couples walking across the street. Rudra wished she had someone in her life to care about her.
Rudra's childhood was not so great as growing up in an orphanage with kids who always bullied her. She never had any friends which made her find solace in books. Each book she read opened a new world to her. Books gave her the warmth of a family she never had. Eventually being with books Rudra completely ignored everyone around her.
Though she never longed for anyone but she's a woman with raging hormones and desires, so she only considered short time relationships with the opposite sex which doesn't go beyond a month. Though she wanted to have long term relationship the male leads of the romance novels she read raised her bar of standards which no man could compete
She signed and carried herself to the bathroom to wash her sad self. When warm water hit her body the sad cloud around her faded into thin air. Her body and soul relaxed at the gush of water. Once she is completely relaxed Rudra wiped herself dry and wrapped herself in a towel.
She changed herself into a comfy black pajama and walked to her bookshelf. Though she was relaxed after the warm bath she still needed to wash down those sweet potatoes(sadness in the throat). She looked at the pile of new books stacked at the corner of the last shelf and grabbed the first book named 'The end of Red Moon Pack'. The book is about a Lycan girl which is the only reason she bought the book.
Rudra loves Lycan stories which is the reason she ends up buying every kind of novel on Lycans irrespective of the plot. Likewise, she bought this book even without reading the synopsis. Rudra lay right on her comfy bed and opened the book to read.
"What the hell! What are you doing, Celeste!”
She was furious. Her anger was burning.
Never in her fantasy world, she came across such a dumb lead. Reading the novel, she felt like she was swallowing sweet potatoes without water, rather than washing them down.
Celeste was the strongest Lycan she ever read. With great power and ambition she had a great future ahead. She's also good looking and Smart. Her body is great. She has everything to run the world in her fingertips.
But she became stupid when it came to love. She was begging for love by hanging herself on a handsome and talented Alpha, the male main character, also her husband who is rich as hell. As becoming dumb she's being defeated by a sub-character who is nothing compared to her.
She's not thinking about living well for herself.
Why were you born with that huge diamond spoon in your mouth when you couldn't wield it properly!
Rudra prayed that Celeste would do her best with her power, and she kept reading the next chapter, but she didn't see what she expected.
“No, though you were born a rogue, you are powerful so why are you just being beaten by the little wolf", she screamed at the book as if it could reach the female lead's ears
Before she knew it, she began to be more concerned with the female lead who was going to receive sweet potatoes instead of the heroine walking on the cider flower path.
“What kind of man is she crying about!”
Rudra was annoyed. To see a man who was married to the female lead but still clinging to the villainess.
I don't know anything. I'm naive.
I'm glad you helped me. The female lead was angry at the sight of the villainess holding the Alpha's hand.
The female lead seemed to be beaten by the villainess without even using what she had. And she ends up getting in a gruesome way by the villainess. Rudra slammed the book in frustration. Never in her life has a book frustrated her.
She got up from the bed, took off all the clothes she wore and headed for the bathroom.
"What if I were the female lead?", random thoughts ran through her mind under the shower.
"I'll kick that man's *** for sure".
"How dare you disregard the female lead, a woman who paved your way into the strongest pack of Lycan Kingdom", she signed.
Reading about the male lead made her question herself, "Do I need a guy?. A guy who listens to me carefully, who's warm only to me, and he's kind and doesn't yell at me. Most of all, someone who doesn't betray me".
"You must have power, wouldn't it be possible to get someone with a good face and a lot of money?"
“There's no way in the world that such a person exists.” She signed again.
After bathing, she lay down on the sofa. She didn't' have the mood to do anything.
Rudra fell asleep, still leaving herself in the towel.
Sleep was deep and sweet. She felt like she was sinking.
As if never to wake up again.
