Sunday came and Kiera and her mom eased in next to Cindy and her mom

Worship was good.

After the difficult week Kiera had, she felt a little more relaxed after the worship.

While offering was being collected Kiera felt as if someone was staring at her.

When she looked across the pews her eyes connected with a guy's own.

He smiled and she smiled back

She had never seen him in church before and she guessed he was new.

When it came time to welcome the new member and greet them by shaking hands, it was confirmed he was new.

He sort of held on to Kiera's hand longer than he did the others.

He even told her his name, Teagan.

She smiled and told him hers.

It was announced that it was time for the choir to sing

Kiera swore she heard somebody groan.

The granny in front of her started to whisper in a not so soft way to her neighbour..... "Lord have mercy, brace yourself."

Kiera flushed
