Alpha, I Will Not Be Your Lover

Alpha, I Will Not Be Your Lover

Episode 1

Marcel Davila was the daughter of Marcelo Davila, an important marquis of the Galatea Empire. When her mother passed away when she was only 5 years old, the young girl was left in the care of her Nana, as her father was busy with work.

Her father, being an influential man in the Galatea Empire, spent most of his time conducting business outside the home, which meant he had little time to spend with Marcel.

Two months after Marcel's mother died, the marquis returned home with a woman named Susana, who had a daughter the same age as Marcel. This girl was named Elena and was very obedient and diligent in front of the marquis.

Due to his many obligations, Marcel’s father delegated the household duties to his new wife, who happily took control over the affairs of the marquisate.

Once her stepmother took complete control of the mansion, the little girl began to face problems even with her meals. One of her issues was that her stepmother forced her to give up her bedroom for her daughter Elena, as Susana claimed that they were sisters and deserved to share their things. Out of kindness for sharing her room, Marcel was assigned another very ugly one, which was only cleaned by her Nana. The Nana also bathed and dressed her, not at Susana's request; rather, when the late marquise died, the Nana willingly offered to serve Marcel. Additionally, Susana forbade the other servants from attending to Marcel, meaning they ignored the little girl.

The best dresses, shoes, and toys were taken by Susana for her daughter Elena, who, along with her mother, often made fun of Marcel, telling her that she was a motherless bastard whom her father didn’t love. The poor Marcel could only cry and was never able to speak to her father about the abuses she suffered.

Marcel dressed in the oldest and ugliest clothing that Susana and her daughter provided, and often had no shoes to wear around the house, as those given to her were already in poor condition. Her wicked stepmother, when attending social gatherings, only took Elena, and they both shone like refined noblewomen.

Although the marquis paid for the best teachers for both girls, Marcel was only taught manners to ensure she wouldn’t embarrass Susana in front of the marquis. In contrast, despite being less intelligent, Susana’s daughter received an education from the best teachers available at that time.

Susana paid the teachers extra not to give lessons to Marcel, as she wanted her daughter to inherit the marquis’s fortune in the future. Those who refused to accept such bribes were threatened by Susana, compelling them to comply with her orders.

The Nana, however, did not stand idly by and secretly taught Marcel to read and write very well, so she did not need to seek out another teacher for those skills.

The Nana was her only support when the marquis was away, as when Susana ordered that Marcel be given leftover food, the Nana would secretly bring her fruits and the occasional dessert and hide them well beneath the bed on a floorboard.

When the marquis returned, Susana pretended to be the best of mothers, and together they shared meals at the table like a happy family.

But when the man left again to conduct business outside the home, things returned to normal, and Marcel's life resumed as before.

Every birthday, the marquis would give his daughter an expensive gift, which ultimately ended up in Elena's hands or, in some cases, broken.

Marcel was harshly punished by her stepmother Susana even for doing nothing, as the woman and her daughter took genuine delight in seeing the girl cry and feel miserable.

Little by little, the young woman lost the respect of the mansion's servants, who now humiliated her with many harsh words. Although Marcel was the legitimate daughter of the marquis, and Elena was not, things were reversed there thanks to Susana. That wicked woman only favored her daughter Elena, and a servant in the mansion lived better than Marcel.

When the young woman turned eighteen, the marquis wanted to throw her a party where she would also debut in high society.

At the marquis's order, the organization of the party was entrusted to his stepmother Susana, who reluctantly accepted the task.

She had everything planned to ensnare Marcel in a trap that would bring her the utmost humiliation.

The day of the party arrived, and Marcel was prepared by her nanny, who had chosen a beautiful violet dress for her, accompanied by fine accessories, all gifts from the marquis, her father. Although he did not have the time to be at home, he loved Marcel for being the daughter of his only love.

When the time for the party came, Marcel, being the guest of honor, arrived last with her father at the hall, which was taking place in the capital of that empire. Many nobles attended the event, and they were all dazzled by the beauty of the marquis's daughter, whom they had never seen before.

Marcel danced a few pieces with her father, and after that, she danced additional pieces with the young bachelors at the party, as was customary during a high society debut.

From a distance, her stepmother Susana and Elena watched with envy and malice-filled eyes as the young woman enjoyed herself, waiting for the precise moment for her to fall into their trap, which involved drugging her with a strong aphrodisiac that would render her unconscious. Susana had paid a hefty sum to a servant to discreetly take her to the resting room, where he could do as he pleased, and later, when everything came to light, claim that she had offered herself while drunk and he had not refused. With Marcel no longer pure, Susana would help her marry some wealthy old man of the empire, ensuring that her daughter would be the only noble lady in the family.

The plan commenced when the marquis, father of the young woman, proposed a toast in honor of her coming of age. At that moment, a waiter paid off by Susana brought her the glass of drink mixed with the aphrodisiac, which would take effect about an hour later.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the nanny noticed a change in the young woman's demeanor, one that suggested she was in poor condition.

Immediately, she realized that something bad was about to unfold, as the girl had barely taken a single glass of wine, which was not very strong since the marquis did not want her to get drunk at the party.

Discreetly, she took the young woman out of the celebration and, with the help of the coachman, made her way to the nearest inn.

The nanny left the young woman in the inn's room and went downstairs to bid farewell to the coachman. In doing so, she sent a message to the marquis stating that the girl would be staying with her at an inn in the capital, as she was feeling unwell.

When the marquis received the nanny's message, he thought nothing of it, trusting her completely, knowing that his daughter was safe with her.

♦️ At the inn

After bidding farewell to the coachman, the nanny returned to the room, only to find it empty; her young Marcel was nowhere to be found.

Desperate, she rushed out to search for Marcel and sought help from the innkeepers, who assisted her in searching the surrounding area without any success.

While the worried nanny looked for the young woman, Marcel, after a moment of clarity, realized she was in a strange room and immediately panicked, fearing the worst. In those days, it was common for young women to be kidnapped and assaulted by their abductors.

"To save herself," she left there and went toward what she believed was the exit, but in reality, she entered a dark room in front of hers, and upon doing so, her consciousness blurred completely once again. The aphrodisiac was once more having its effect on her, causing her body to heat up and igniting a strong desire to make love.
