Chapter 1: Annoying Mr. Stranger

"Really? We'll see each other again in the future, right?" A young girl in the age of 10 said to a boy with Crimson red eyes, who was the same age as her. The little girl's golden and vibrant ruby eyes were tearing up.

"We will, I promise." The boy gently said with a smile, his face was blurred but she could tell that he was handsome.

The tears that the girl had been suppressing started falling on her rosy cheeks.

"Don't forget us too!!" Another boy, who came out of nowhere, said cheerfully, one hand up in the air, the other holding the hand of a young girl, his long blonde hair flowing with the sway of the wind.

"The mountain is so cold, and it has that awful stench of blood on it." A young girl with purple eyes, whom the blonde little guy's hand was holding, coldly said, a tiny furrow in her brows. Her slender fingers were on her nose, pinching it to lessen the awful smell she was smelling.

"Oh! Come on! Let us promise, no, not just that, let us vow that we'll see each other again in the near future!" The black haired boy said with a smile on his face.

"Okay! I'll start! I, Kiriana Kingstone, vow that in the near future, I will reunite with ----"

"Ah!" A young lady jolted up from her bed, panting.

"Ringggg, ringgggg, ringgggggg" the sound of an alarm resounded throughout the entire room.

The woman reached for her phone, and turned off the alarm.

"Damn it. I can't remember their names." She helplessly muttered to herself, in her anger, she formed her hand into a fist, but in doing so, the phone that was in her hand got crushed.

"Huh? What the-- damn it, what a bad morning." She sighed to herself and massaged her temples in one hand.

"Should I just buy a new phone just in case I break another one?" She silently asked herself.

"Whatever, better wash up then." She stood up and headed for the bathroom.

*20 minutes later*

The young woman walked out from the bathroom, wore her undergarments, put on some deodorant and lotion and headed for the closet in the corner.

She picked a pair of black jeans, a black tube and topped it off with a red leather jacket, she wore a black choker and some earrings, she also took a small butterfly-shaped piece of jade, the size of her thumb, and placed it inside her pocket, making sure it won't fall out.

She went to another corner where a cabinet was placed, her shoes were there, she took out a pair of black leather boots with golden highlights on it.

She took her sling bag, stuffed her keys, her condo card, wallet, contact lens solution and the container for the lenses, closed it and slid her phone in her pocket.

She headed for the door, wore the sunglasses which was placed on the table right beside it, and went out the door.

Kira's point of view

When I reached the mall, I parked my car then headed towards the entrance.

"Excuse me, Mr. Officer, which part of this mall can you find the place where they sell their gadgets?" I asked the security guard at the entrance.

"East wing, miss." Mr. Officer replied to me.

"Thanks." I replied politely but no smiles. I then headed to the east wing part of the mall and easily found the gadgets department or whatever they call that.

"Excuse me, miss." I called out to the girl at the counter who was busy flirting with a male customer.

"Excuse me?... Miss?... Hello?!" She clearly didn't hear a single word I said.

"MISS WHO'S IN CHARGE OF THE COUNTER!!!" I yelled in a cold tone and slammed my hands at the glass.

"Ahhhh!!!" She shrieked, "Instead of flirting with that customer over there, can you pay attention to the other customers who are in a rush here? Or do you want me to make you lose your job?" I threatened her in a calm, polite and friendly tone which frightened her. The fact that I'm still here standing and not going around destroying things is already a miracle.

She trembled. The glass started cracking and small pieces of glass started falling on the floor.

"I'll pay for any damages." I said nonchalantly.

"So, beautiful yet fierce refers to women like you?" I heard a charming, magnetic voice of a man and felt that an arm was placed on my shoulders.

"I admit that I am beautiful, but I'm only fierce when I'm impatient, pissed or when I want to. And I believe we're not close enough for you to be putting your hand on my shoulder like that so please remove it." I then flicked his hand off my shoulder.

"Give me your newest model....Oh, no, newest models." I faced the terrified counter girl.

"Y-yes, of course, miss." She hurriedly replied, panic stricken and quickly ran away to

retrieve the phones I asked her for. The annoying stranger beside me chuckled.

"Don't be so mean to the poor little girl." He said, clearly amused.

"Shut up, weirdo." I'm seriously getting even more pissed. 'What a bad morning' I thought and sympathized about how pitiful I was this week.

"H-here it is, miss." The counter girl finally came back, but more calm and composed this time. She handed me 5 boxes and a paper bag, I then placed the boxes inside the paper bag.

"Thank you." I gave her a friendly smile and then took my wallet that was inside my sling bag and handed her a check which was already signed, wrote a random number and few zeros and placed it on the glass counter and then walked away, but before I did so, I didn't forget to tell her to write a few more zeros if she'd like and keep the change. I looked back and saw her trembling hands carefully held the check, her eyes shining as if she had just seen something incredibly precious.

While walking, I mused about my reaction at the store just now, I usually would just ignore and keep my distance from other people especially of the opposite sex, of course, except for Mr. McKinney. Yet I actually didn't feel uncomfortable with him.

While thinking, I suddenly felt someone place their arm over my shoulders, in a way that brought our bodies close to each other. I turned to look at who actually dared to do that and was surprised to see that it was the handsome stranger at the store just now.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I furiously asked him. I hate getting close to strange people and he is definitely a strange and weird one. He shrugged, which completely pissed me off!!!! 'This weirdo! Was he following me just now?! Creep!!' I quietly cursed him in my head.

"Sorry, but I have to go somewhere to meet someone so can you please remove your hand that's on my shoulders?" I told him while suppressing my anger.

"Is the person you're meeting male or female?" He casually asked as if what he was asking wasn't creepy or weird in any way!!!

"That is none of your business, you're being unreasonable. Like, we literally just met!And I don't even know your name!" I not-so-loudly yelled at him. My demonic energy is starting to appear.

"Unreasonable? Just met?" He furrowed his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes. He had this dangerous glint in his eyes when I said that.

The nearby glass windows started creating crack marks and all the things that were surrounding us slowly started to float and break. 'Calm down Kiriana, calm down. Don't lose control.' I thought to myself.

His expression changed almost immediately.

"Haha, you're the very first woman who dared to talk to me like that." He chuckled.

"Goodbye." I bid him farewell without even looking at him. I walked away, heading towards an inconspicuous part of the mall, then used the teleportation jade my best friend gave me and teleported away.
