The Results

Rosalinda laid in bed as she read the novel of her favorite author, Atlas Griffin. Who was very famous for both his online and physical novels.His books online were very expensive and the only once she could afford were the ones online.She smiled at herself, her green eyes brightening up as she swept her gentle gaze across each word.

She sat up in her bed, her mobile phone in her hand as she parted her heart shaped lips to speak.

"Cleo stood at the end of the room, with William standing at the other end. He had his head turned, his eyes looking out the window with his back facing her. Cleo felt the strength in her legs slowly reduce as her eyes began to fill with tears. The tears she had for so long. He held tightened around the door handle."Wil... William", she calls out, placing her other hand on her chest to calm her overwhelmed heart.

William turns around upon hearing his name been called.His eyes widened as they met Cleo's." My...love...you", he could not find the right words to say and all he could do and wanted to do was to run to her and pull her into his warm embrace".She hesitates for a moment blinking her own tears back." A ring from the door from the door cutting her off."Din... Dong,Din...Dong" then Rosalinda went out to check who it was and saw that it was her one and only bestie Evelyn Wilson,Eva for short. Opening the door she exclaimed,"Eva!, I've missed you so much", she leans in to give her tight hug.

"I've missed you too. But could you stop squeezing me",Eva coughed." Let's go in ."Rosalinda yanked her into the living room and onto the couch, where they sat together. Rosalinda questioned,"Can I offer you a glass of juice?" Eva responded,"oh yeah, thanks".

"You're welcome...!", Rosa shouted.

There was a program going on the TV, so Eva watched it while Rosa brought in the juice. Setting the juice on the table Rosalinda commented "so what brings you here"?.

Rosalinda took a seat beside Evelyn.

"Oh nothing much". Evelyn hesitates siping her juice slowly.Lifting her hand, she waved the paper she held in Rosalinda's face." Just wanted to give you this".

She handed it over to her.

"What is this?", Rosalinda questioned holding the envelope that was sealed

"Why are you asking?", Evelyn rolled her sky blue eyes and exclaimed,read it".

Ever so slowly she opened the envelope tearing off the top.She She read to her self inwardly. After minutes of reading, she lifted her head, her eyes widely opened as a simple spread across her fine featured face.

Rosalinda rose up from her seat jumping and shouting out of joy because she has passed.

"Oh my God I passed.Eva I passed I can't believe this".

She was extremely happy from the deepest of her heart.

"Why?!, did you think you wouldn't pass?".Evelyn questioned.Evelyn knew how long Rosalinda had sleepless nights thinking of weather or not she would pass into the program Evelyn was extremely happy for her best friend and that was why she intentionally read the letter and place it in another envelope, a new one.

"But I wonder why the envelope looks like this".She glances at the paper checking to find the stamp of their university.

"What do you mean?", Evelyn questioned still siping her juice.

"Umm... nothing, but just that there in no stamp on the envelope".

"So?", she questioned pretending to be confused when she knew why the envelope had no stamp. It was because she had changed the envelope in which the paper was in after reading it yesterday.She did that only out of good intentions.She wanted to know if Rosalinda passed and if she did, she would give her the paper and if she didn't, she won't because, she knew how soft-hearted Rosalinda was, and also she knew how broken-hearted she will be if she found out. Indeed, she passed." Are you hungry?" she said changing the topic."I don't know about you, but I know I'm hungry."

Rodalinda paused for a moment then said,"Yeah I'm hungry myself but I have not prepared anything yet."

"Good then, we can go out it's on me. "

... "I'll be right back," I'll go get dressed." She walked up the stairs leading to the bedroom.She opened her closet and took out black heart shaped neck dress with a split at the side.The dress passed her knees and she was comfortable.She tied up her straight golden hair into messy bun and picked up her phone and went and went out of the room. An amused tone." When did my friend become so stylish?, I'm jealous".She overreacted.

"Ah!", she screamed her chest making Evelyn worried.

"What's wrong?", Evelyn questioned her worry heightening.Rosalinda opened her right eye with the left closed and said in a dramatic voice,"I' touched"

They giggled and made their way out of the house locking the front door.
