Chapter 4 – Face of an angel

I am looking at Sammy with the saddest eyes I could ever have… I looked at him with all the pain I could ever feel and hopelessness as he tries to push me away.

I stayed there standing –

Waiting to be wanted,

Waiting to be chosen,

Waiting to be saved…

“Okay CUT!” the director called the shot

They all stood up and gave me a round of applause… They were all standing, clapping and smiling at me…

“You did really well Copper –“ Sammy said. He gave me a tissue to wipe off my tears.

I know what’s happening around me. But, I was just too astonished by the scenery…

Unconsciously, I started crying again…

“Hey! You did well – (Sammy wiped off my tears) Look at me” he capped my face into his palms and gave me a smiling face “Stop crying now” he said.

Imagine a guy with a good looking face, a warm and angelic kind looking at me – cheering me up and giving me the warmest smile. I feel like I’d been used to this scenery…

After all what happened I headed back to the waiting room and fix my stuff. My heart is pounding like a crazy aff for no definite reasons, I contacted Minzy and explained to her what happened. She asked couple of questions and while we were on the phone I kept jogging my memory –

The frizzy drink

The loud sound of lightning

The gloomy weather

Sammy’s face

Without noticing it I am spacing out again, slightly getting an almost anxiety attack. I just can’t breathe…

Before I fell from where I am standing Minzy was already inside the room. She told the security that she is my handler and headed to where I am…

“Hey kid, you okay? What are your symptoms?” she asked with her worried look on her face (she reminds me so much of my mom)

I smiled at her as I am trying to calm myself “I had a headache earlier – (I rested on the couch as she sits right next to me) I am seeing memories that looks like they belong to me. But, I know they are not – It was just impossible…” I said while my voice and hands were shaking. I started crying again and she was just there holding my hands “I feel like the gloomy weather’s haunting me – I was frightened, really frightened.”

We heard a squeaky sound from the door and look at it. We saw the production staff outside and just let us know that the head director will just give me a call once the result is ready. For the meantime I can leave and take a rest.

Copper… Copper…

I heard someone was calling me, I look back and saw Sammy.

“Copper – (He was waving at me and gesturing to wait for him) I thought you were out already” he said

“Waddap Sammy? You need a hand?” I asked

“Nope, you helped me already (He smiled) the guard told me that you found my phone and handed it over to them” he smiled at me

I honestly don’t know why but my heart is just acting crazy whenever I see him “I – I.. I saw it unattended and did the right thing. Which is to return it to the guard” I honestly feel like stupid now.

“Well, you with your handler?” he looked at Minzy

“Ahmm, sort of a handler and guardian too” I said

“Is everything okay?” he asked

“Ahmm yes Sammy, everything is okay – we will be heading our way now. You have a good evening” I smiled and extended my hand for a handshake

“Thank you again and finally nice knowing your name” he laugh softly and I recall that he was the guy I bumped into the other day too.

Despite of the roller coaster of emotions for today, I had so much fun and a bit like I am floating in the air.
