Chaerin's heart pounded in her chest as she gazed out the car window, watching the rain pelt the windshield like a million tiny bullets.
The retro music on the radio seemed soft and soothing, but it couldn't drown out the sound of the storm.
Suddenly, something caught her eye - a figure emerging from the woods in speed, like a specter from another world. Mr. Lee swerved to avoid it, but the car spun out of control, skidding across the slick pavement.
Chaerin felt her stomach lurch as the car flipped over, glass shattering and metal crunching. She tried to scream, but the air was knocked out of her lungs as the car hit the ground.
For a moment, everything felt blur of sound and motion, and then everything went black.
When Chaerin regained consciousness, she lay on her back, staring up at the sky. The rain was still falling, but it was gentler now, like a soft caress on her skin.
She tried to move, but her body was pinned beneath the twisted metal of the car. She could hear her parents shouting, their voices muffled by the rain and the wreckage.
She tried to call out to them, but her throat was raw and her voice was gone.
A few seconds felt like hours, And then Chaerin saw the same figure she saw earlier heading closer to her.
The figure unexpectedly pulled the car up through his one arm, The other arm gently dragged Chaerin.
She tried to stay calm, to focus on her breathing, but her heart raced and her mind raced even faster.
Her mind could assume that the figure was certainly something inhumane but there was no logical explanation of anything that occurred in a few seconds which turned her life upside down.
Why had that figure attempted to kill her parents and why had he saved her as now the figure took her in his arms and then everything became faded, She couldn't see his face, She merely heard his voice.
"It's alright... Everything will be fine" The figure said, His voice sounds deep, and His grip felt stronger.

Chaerin woke up with a long gasp, Realizing she dreamt again about the terrible night when her life turned upside down and she lost her parents.
"Are you okay miss? " Asked the taxi driver.
Chaerin nodded, "I'm alright" She replied, stepping out of the taxi.
As Chaerin walked briskly through the dark street, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being followed.
Every time she turned around, She saw nobody, but she could feel someone's eyes on her back. She quickened her pace, her heart pounding in her chest, and tried to focus on the sound of her footsteps.
Suddenly, there was a gust of wind, and Chaerin felt something brush against her back.
She spun around but saw nobody there. She stood alone in the alley, with nothing but the sound of the wind and the distant hum of traffic.
Chaerin took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "It was just your imagination," she told herself. Felt exhausted, and stressed.
But then Chaerin heard a faint whisper, like the sound of someone breathing. She turned around again, and this time she saw a figure emerging from the shadows.
It was a man, tall and lean, with a hood pulled over his head. She couldn't see his face, but she could feel his eyes on her.
"Who are you?" Chaerin asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
The man didn't answer. He just stood there, watching her, and then he started to move towards her.
Chaerin felt her heart racing as she backed away, her eyes locked on the man's shadowy figure.
And then, suddenly, the man stopped and glanced at her again then turned around and headed to the edge of the alley.
Chaerin saw him leaving until he disappeared from her sight, She turned back and realized she stood almost closer to her building.
A deep breath escaped her lips, Chaerin felt a wave of relief wash over her, and then she went inside the building.
She locked the door once she stepped into her apartment, The only thing her parents left her before leaving this world.
Chaerin threw her exhausted body on the bed, Staring at the ceiling she didn't realize when she lost herself in her Dreamland.

The sun cast its warm rays upon the sky, and cheerful birds filled the air with their melodic tunes as they perched near her window. Chaerin's eyes fluttered open, basking in the gentle sunlight that kissed her bare face.
With a languid stretch and a soft groan, she rubbed her eyes to clear her vision. It didn't take long for her to realize that she had overslept. Her gaze darted to the grandfather clock hanging on the wall, and it revealed the truth - it was already 9:30, and she had a class at 10.
Without wasting any time, she hurriedly got dressed, slipping into a comfortable pair of jeans and a casual T-shirt. Chaerin ran a brush through her hair and splashed some water on her face in an attempt to awaken herself.
In just a few minutes, she was ready to leave. Grabbing her backpack, she rushed out of the door without even thinking about breakfast. As she made her way to the bus stop, she glanced at her phone and noticed a message from her friend, Areum. "Where are you?" the message read. "Class is about to start!"
"I've just left my house," Chaerin swiftly replied to Areum, increasing her pace and jogging the remaining few blocks to reach the bus stop.
