Turmoil In The Palace. (Huahua)
Turmoil.
The baby girl is named Yuan Yi and becomes everyone's light in a short time. The other child is secretly taken out of the palace by one of the most trusted maids of concubine Zhao.
(Why are they separating the twins? You'll find out later.)
Concubine Zhao gives half of a medallion in the shape of the moon to the maid before she leaves and a flute engraved with the child's name. The other half of the medallion is given to Yuan Yi.
You will probably ask "what's special about this medallion ", actually it was a gift from the emperor. Concubine Zhao hopes that through it the children will get reunited in the future and prove their noble identity.
The maid also receives some money for her expenses outside the palace and a letter from concubine Zhao to give to the child when the time is right.
The concubine also hopes that she can keep in touch with her maid and maybe secretly see her child.
She instructs her maid to go to a nearby temple and live there in seclusion.
The servant secretly runs from the palace exactly after the birth of the two babies so that anyone won't become suspicious. The people who assisted her to give birth are also silenced, so no one else knows that concubine Zhao gave birth to twins.
Unfortunately, the maid can't reach the temple because she's attacked by a gang of bandits. They steal her money, rape her and sell her at the city's brothel.
She begs them not to kill the child, so they end up together in that place.
No matter what happened to her, she stays strong to protect the new born life.
