I promise....

When I woke up, I found myself on a big round bed. There were burnt rose petals on it. Everything was strange but scary. There was a table on the right side of the bed, where a meal was kept. There were some veggies, bread and a piece of black forest cake. Suddenly, I heard something.

Him: (scary tone) I know you like black forest.

Me: How do you know?

Him: I know everything about you. You don't remember. Why? Why?

I was too scared and couldn't say anything. He told me to have the meal otherwise I may die.

I was also stubborn and denied.

Me: I won't eat, it's better to die. Why am I captured by you for no good reason? (still sobbing)

He kept on watching me with his dreadful red eyes that seemed to be full of anger and blood. Still, he was trying to persuade me. As none of his efforts worked, he pushed me down to the bed, his hand tightly pressing the pillow under my head.

Him: If you won't eat, I may have to make your brother back to bed.

I was totally shocked that how could he know about my brother. And, he was fine? How could it be. I was scared, still dared to speak.

Me: You are lying. He can't get out of his bed.

He has been paralyzed since 5years.

He stared at me like he was very angry. But, didn't say anything and released me. He turned his back towards me and was about to leave the room. I couldn't let him go. So, I tried to grab his foot. My hand went through his foot. Now, it was sure that he isn't human.

Him: You will know everything. I will tell you if you promise you won't leave here.

Me: Why(sobbing)? I don't belong here. I have a brother to take care of.

He turned towards me and held me up.

Him:The moment you entered here, the prophecy fulfilled. Now, no one in the world can recognise you.

I couldn't move a bit. It was totally unbelievable for me. But, I couldn't resist myself not to believe him. As if, there was bond between us binding is together even if we were different.

Me: (on my knees, Sobbing) I promise!! I won't leave here. But, tell me what happened with me and why you call me Dan. Please...

Him: I will tell you my dear.

We sat on the bed and he started with story he had. The most crucial moment for me, my life depended on it. How come I am Dan? Who was Dan? Who was the real him? Is he really a ghost? Was the thing 'prophecy' he talked about true? What prophecy was he talking about? Why the world can't recognise me anymore?

All of these questions were about to be answered. My heartbeat was increasing second by second. It was hard to believe what happened today. The whole day full of terror and surprises. It recorded as the life changing day for me.
