Episode 5

"What's wrong?" Enzo asks, curious.

"I thought maybe I could go to a park with Lorenzo, hang out like normal people," Lizzy says.

"I don't want my son to be anyone's laughingstock, I'm not going to expose him to the press," Enzo says, annoyed.

"He's a child," Lizzy says.

"He's my son, and inside the house, he has everything he needs," Enzo says.

"He has no freedom. Don't you see that you're the one insisting on keeping him in a bubble and not allowing him to integrate?" Lizzy protests.

"Miss Rocci, I'm going to ask you not to comment on my decisions," Enzo shouts.

"It's incredible that you're the one limiting Lorenzo. You're the problem here," Lizzy shouts and throws the contract on the desk, leaving Enzo perplexed.

"I'm going to return the money you put in my account. I won't work for you. You don't respect the judgment of people who know what we're doing. I've studied a lot and I know children like Lorenzo perfectly well. They often live embittered because of their parents, you minimize him," she retorts.

Lizzy turns around and storms out, immediately drawing attention. The young woman was arriving with her coffee, and upon seeing the scene, she hurries over.

"Is everything okay?" she asks, curious.

But Lizzy walks past her, leaving her speechless.

As she leaves the offices, Lizzy tries to catch her breath. Some tears appear, she felt ridiculous, she deeply regretted not being able to work and being left with nothing, but she wanted to avoid a war with Enzo.

Enzo arrives home exhausted after a difficult day, pours himself a drink, and leaves his things on the furniture. He couldn't get Lizzy out of his mind, she always had the audacity to confront him, and this disturbed him.

"Dad?" Lorenzo surprises him.

Enzo smiles and approaches his son.

"Honey, how was your day?" he says sweetly.

"The same, nothing exciting," he sighs, bored.

"I'm going to take a few days off and we'll go to the cabin, does that sound good?" Enzo says.

"Whatever you say," Lorenzo seems to be looking for something.

"What's wrong?" Enzo asks.

"I thought Lizzy would come with you," the little one says.

Enzo stands up and loosens his tie.

"We didn't reach any agreement, she's rebellious," he says resigned.

"Mmh, I understand," Lorenzo says, sounding somewhat sad.

"I thought Miss Rocci hadn't pleased you," Enzo says, curious.

"She's fun and reads stories better than you, Dad," he smiles melancholically.

"Don't worry, darling, your dad will hire Miss Lizzy, right, Enzo?" Mila interrupts.

Lorenzo smiles and leaves in his chair, he seemed happy. Enzo exhales the air he was holding and turns his back to Mila.

"I won't do that, you shouldn't have said that," Enzo says, irritated.

"What does Lizzy bring out in you?" Mila asks.

This takes Enzo by surprise.

"What are you talking about?" he asks.

"Don't play dumb, Enzo, I know you perfectly well. This woman puts you in your place, you don't allow her to have control, she throws you off balance, doesn't she?" she says mischievously.

"She's arrogant, she thinks she can do whatever she wants with my son," he says, annoyed.

"She just wants to do her job and you don't let her. You have to give in a little, Enzo, she knows how to do it," Mila defends her.

"I'll look for someone else, there are thousands better and more qualified," he replies.

"But Lorenzo wants her, think of him, not you," Mila says and withdraws.

Enzo finishes what was left in his glass in one gulp, this situation was starting to exasperate him.

Lizzy was on her sofa, thinking about what she was going to do with her life. She had to return the money and she had already spent some of it. She watches her faithful friend sleep on her legs while she looks out the window. She needed a job urgently, soon she would be evicted from the apartment and it would be her end. Napo gets up from the sofa and heads for the door, this alerts Lizzy and she follows him.

"Buddy, what are you doing?" she asks as she opens the door.

She is startled to see Enzo standing there, she wonders if he was really going to knock on the door.

"Mr. Mancini?" Lizzy calls out.

"Can we talk?" Enzo says.

Lizzy makes room and lets him in, she is ashamed, as her house is somewhat modest, compared to the palace in which he lives.

Napo keeps sniffing him and Lizzy observes that this irritates Enzo.

"Would you like something to drink?" Lizzy asks.

"No, I'm fine, thank you. I want to renegotiate the work contract," Enzo says abruptly.

Lizzy doesn't seem to understand, she looks at him strangely.

"Renegotiate?" she asks, incredulous.

"Don't make this more difficult, I want you to be Lorenzo's tutor, he wants it, I have no choice," Enzo says, annoyed.

"If it's so difficult for you, don't do it. The last thing I want is to be in a daily pitched battle with you," Lizzy replies.

"I only worry about my son's well-being, it's the only important thing," Enzo says.

"With one condition," Lizzy says.

"I'm listening," Enzo replies.

"I will make some suggestions regarding the contract, this is a commitment from everyone and you must also have rules, Mr. Mancini," Lizzy says.

He is surprised by what he has just heard, but nods.

"Tomorrow, Cup Styles cafeteria, eleven in the morning, does that suit you?" Lizzy invites him.

"Alright Miss Rocci, good night," Enzo says as he leaves the apartment.

Lizzy releases the air she had accumulated, she is surprised by having acted that way, Enzo was a powerful man and seeing him in her house asking her to come back is surprising.

The next day Lizzy was heading to the place where she had arranged to meet Enzo, she felt somewhat nervous, but determined, she had been thinking about some ideas to improve everything in Lorenzo's life, upon arriving Enzo was already waiting for her, it was a Sunday morning and there were quite a few people around, he was escorted and dressed very casually, he looked more handsome than ever, Lizzy shakes her head and heads there, Enzo observes her from afar, he fixes his gaze on that blonde with sky eyes, inside he knew that she was a beautiful woman.

"Mr. Mancini, good morning," Lizzy greets him courteously.

"Miss Rocci, please sit down," he pulls out her chair and invites her to sit down.

"Would you like something?" Enzo says.

"An American coffee, thank you," Lizzy replies.

Enzo makes a sign and in seconds he has a young waiter there.

"I'm listening Miss Rocci, I must admit that your suggestion makes me curious," Enzo says directly. Lizzy takes out a folder and opens it before him.

"These are my ideas, Mr. Mancini, I hope you read them calmly, believe me they are good for Lorenzo," she smiles.

Enzo seems to immerse himself in those papers.

"Lorenzo will accompany his father once a month on his business trips, everything necessary for his trip will be provided, a nurse will be part of this.

"A swimming teacher will be hired, Lorenzo will take classes on Saturdays, it will serve as therapy.

"At least two days a week will be enabled for Lorenzo to return to the institute, he must socialize with others.

"He will go to parks like any child his age, I can take him to the one that Mr. Mancini decides and for the time that is determined.

"Mr. Mancini commits to leaving all his work in his office as soon as he crosses the doors of the entrance of his house, all the time will be for Lorenzo, he will read his story every night."

Enzo raises an eyebrow and smiles.

"I thought it would be something more complicated, Miss Rocci."

"You don't let yourself be explained, Mr. Mancini, you are something of a grumpy pants," she says, amused.

The young waiter arrives with the order and smiles at Lizzy.

"Thank you," she says.

"When do we start?" Enzo asks.
